I think Nietzsche's philosophy is mostly compatible with the idea of a deist's conception of God, just not a God that has authority on morals or other such silly human inventions. If the universe were created by a God who set everything in motion and just let it be, I don't think that would contradict Nietzsche's actual philosophy in essence.

And by saying God is dead and we killed him, he meant that the rule of a Christian deity over society had ended at the hands of athiests and secularism. A god that you describe is basically just physics embodied as an entity. As long as the god didn't impose arbitrary morals, Nietzsche wouldn't deny it. But this is what you said anyway.
