Really like how you go over the engine and procedures. I also want to say I have bought and sold multiple Acadia's and Traverses to flip/resell. The problem is people don't take care of them. These turds are very sensitive to the type of oil you use. Most of the people don't take care of them, run the oil life to 5% and think they have another 3 months to go, etc. I did learn that OE Filters (Ac delco) for the oil filter are way better pressure wise vs. a aftermarket oil. And always stick with Pennzoil full synthetic platinum 5w30 6 qts. Thank you for this video. I always learn a lot from your videos.
thank you, for watching. I do this to every engine; this way will give me an idea of what to look for and the area that I need to focus on more. I like to make sure that everything is back to specs to ensure a job well done the first time. because it sucks having to do this job twice
Have you seen this issue. With a 2012 traverse. I’ve replaced the motor 2 times . This is what happened only in cylinder 5 . It happened on hard acceleration in both engines .
do not worry too much about dtc. as long as the timing chain marks line up the timing will be correct. just follow my steps, the piston #1 will move from tdc anyway

Looks like metal got into the cylinder 5 but there isn’t anything in the cylinder . I can’t figure out how to send you a pic in the comments section

How do you do the torque on a 2011 gm 3.6l out of a acadia
torque on the cylinder heads? or timing components?
