The Bank should be on the hook for anything they paid with only one signature!
She used a cheque cashing place that’s very shady I believe the owner of that business was arrested and the business is closed now. She’s done a lot of crime that hasn’t come out yet. The feds go for the easiest charges.

Irregardless of the check cashing place, when they deposited the check into their account, the bank should have rejected it because it lacked two signatures

The bank should be responsible for paying those checks with only 1 signature. The bank allowed the fraud to happen.
The two-check requirement is probably just a local rule. Bank doesn't care.

I’m not understanding how the bank was processing the cheques when the account is a 2 signature account. I work as an accountant and the cheques I make are required to have 2 signatures and if they are not there they will refuse it. I don’t understand that. One signature is not more important than an other. She is straight out lying.
This was probably just a local rule passed by the Trustees. The bank itself only required the mayor's signature.
Someone already has said maybe kickbacks and/or pay for play. Nobody has said why Super Mayor Tiff does not have a credit card in her name (at least that is what she has stated publicly).

@@joseerichard3019 The checks can be ordered to be printed however you want them. I could be wrong, but the bank wouldn't have cashed any checks if the number of signees wasn't correct. I could believe one check getting by, but not this many.

The mayors signature on a cheque is not more important than the a clerk’s. Yes you order the cheques and you have the option of 1 or 2 signature lines. This is not a business that she owns by herself and she is the only decision maker. This is a government where there has to be checks and balances and also transparency. That’s why you need the 2 signatures. She is a sorry excuse for a mayor and she will go down.

Banks issue you special checks when required two signatures. Requiring two signatures isn’t just them saying that there’s much more involved with it such as the bank. That’s why the bank cares.

For some reason you just think someone can say we require two signatures then that’s it. It’s not like that. The bank has to be involved approved it. I’m not going to go back and forth with you. If I had one of my work checks cashed without two signatures my bank will have issues. Clearly you don’t own a business or you wouldn’t be saying these things. What people don’t understand is when Tiffany first took office she had the faith of the people in office. She had a rubber stamp of the clerk’s signature and she used it to sign off on unapproved checks. Regardless of anything money spent most be approved by the trustees on behalf of the village which represents the people. Tiffany is blowing money and she feels because she is The Mayor she doesn’t have to answer any questions about her spending. She is misappropriating and fraudulently spending the Villages money for personal and non job related expenses. She is the Supervisor Of Thornton Township and is using the Township’s money to cover Dolton’s Village expenses. She is corrupt and so is everyone around her. She has appointed multiple people to multiple positions enabling them to make more money than they normally would and thus buying their willingness to go along with her nonsense. She is bankrupting a small Village of hardworking middle class black people and has absolutely no remorse for her actions.
