  • Bamboo shoot is very famous cuisine amongst the Northeastern states of India. It is taken as fresh, dried or made pickle and liked by many.
    Bamboo shoots have many health benefits as it contains high proteins, amino acids, carbohydrates and many more important minerals and vitamins. Recent studies reported that the bamboo shoot have anticancer, antibacterial and antiviral properties.
    In today's recipe we cooked kosh fish with the fermented bamboo shoot (also known as Bah Gaj tenga) in very little oil. The soup is very light and tasty. Other seasonal vegetables can also be added such as cabbage, mustard greens etc. You may try and home and let us know how do you like it.
