This movie is a work of art, a masterpiece. The ending with Schultz cut scene is really moving, because it lightens his death... Absolute genuis, Tarantino, I salute you.
No one can beat Buddy and Terence. I applauded in the cinema when i heard this track and after django unchained had to watch "Trinity/Die rechte und die linke hand des Teufeld" again. Great Memories
samtheking25 this awesome song has complied 45 years, in Django unchained this song is a tribute at great spaghetti western called lo chiavamano trinita
i watched this movie over 20 times. love it. However, to give to Cesar what belongs to Cesar, it has to be mentioned that this song is a reprise from the movie "We called him Trinity" of Terrance Hill and Bud Spencer (RIP). My best Western Song Ever.
The true original great movie and song: Lo chiamavano Trinità (His name is Trinity) - ITALY 1970 music: Franco Micalizzi text: Lally Stot (The Motowns) singer: Annibale
I immediately clapped and smile with glee when this song started playing. I'm a big "They Call Me Trinity" fan and this song was perfect for Django. Thanks for posting this.
I had the 2:15 mark of this theme stuck in my head all morning, and it just speaks to me for some reason. That heavy sigh, the jingle that accompanies it. Love it.
This song has been composed by Franco Micalizzi for the Italian movie "Lo chiamavano Trinità" (They Call Me Trinity), a 1970 spaghetti western. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/They_Call_Me_Trinity
I love that they did that in this movie. Not many people know the Trinity movies and it was awesome to see that reference in Django Unchained. My dad introduced my siblings and i to the Trinity movies. I love them :) Django Unchained is also a badass movie.
This movie was so good, my racist as hell father loved it like no other. He owns it and watches it all the time. He's a big fan of Cowboy movies, but if you ask him his favorite, he has no problem gushing about how much he love Django Unchained. Proof that art can overpower racism
nope. the ending music is from "the left and teh right hand of the devil", and the theme of the movie is from the original "Django"... But Quentin learns from the best producers and keep up the honor they deserve.
The author is Franco Micalizzi. It was the soundtrack of a famous Italian spaghetti western movie filmed in 1970, called 'They called me Trinity'. Another Tarantino's omage to Italian 70ies movies.
***** Have you seen the movie? Do you even know what it's about? And I highly doubt you understand what it symbolizes. Explain to me why it is messed up, and I will consider your opinion to be POSSIBLY valid.
1. it is a quentin tarantino movie, and 2. it shows how people in the U.S. treated slaves back then. Other movies will not be as "honest" as Quentin in that sense, it might be intense, yes, but it was real
This is probably the best movie ive watched since 2008 and what a great song to end it with it suited it perfectly. If anybody hasnt watched it yet I strongly recommend this film, but just remember adult supervision is required ;)
I am not an american but Bud Spencer and Terence Hill are heroes over here, they will get standing ovations everywhere they would go. They movies are classics and are still runnning from time to time on tv. love them! btw, i am living in germany
Tarantino is my favorite director, and They Call Me Trinity and the Trinity sequels are my favorite westerns. When this song started playing I nearly shat myself, it's things like this that make Tarantino my favorite director. Django Unchained was an awesome take on an old western classic, and this ending blew my fucking mind.
He's the guy who's the talk of the town With the restless gun Don't you bother to fool him around Keeps the varmints on the run, boy Keeps the varmints on the run You may think he's a sleepy-type guy Always takes his time Soon I know you'll be changing your mind When you've seen him use a gun, boy When you've seen him use a gun He's the top of the west Always cool, he's the best He keeps alive with his Colt 45 You won't bother to fool him around When you've seen him use a gun, boy When you've seen him use a gun He's the top of the west Always cool, he's the best He keeps alive with his Colt 45 Who's the guy who's riding to town In the prairie sun You won't bother to fool him around When you've seen him use a gun, boy When you've seen him use his gun
It's from the movie "They call me trinity"...i have this song ringtone on my cellphone from almosta year...when begin to play in the movie i tought my phone ring:)))I was amazed that Quentin Tarantino liked that song too...obviously he has good tastes like me
reminds me of my childhood..... what a great time with western: terence hill, bud spencer, clint eastwood, henry fonda, gregory peck, james stewart, big John wayne..... aww... men so good, so good
Bud Spencer and Terrence Hill ara great actors!!! Trinity and They still call me trinity are not the ony great films of the duo. :)))) greetings from the biggest fan from Bulgaria
on amazing Spiderman 2 electro should have just pulled out a pistol when spider man got him with water and shoot Spiderman in the head and say "I like the way you die boy"
yes it would have, really been the best thing for sony to do right now is either reboot spiderman again or sell the rights to marvel so then it can be rebooted into a better spiderman series
Thanks tarantino the movie and the soundtracks it's really amazing the casts doing great job as the company of production wants , the best movie in 21 century to me ❤❤
If you're a fan of westerns, you'll recognize a lot of music in this from classics like Trinity and Two Mules For Sister Sara. You'll also recognize the camera work. Tarantino was just brilliant when it came to making shots that were in the styles of various other directors. You can see plenty of spaghetti western influence, but there's also a section where he's clearly paying homage to Butch Cassidy & The Sundance Kid, as well as western comedies like The Duchess & the Dirtwater Fox. VERY COOL.
it was originally in a different western, so it wasn't written for either of them, Tarantino put it in because he has great taste in music, but he was referring to Django because it was played at the part at the end where Schultz is dead by then.
Brings back memories. Trinity and Bambino is cult, and is clearly the best cowboys ever. What little boy of 40 would not like to be the lonely cowboy who are bounty hunter in the Wild Wild West, and live the simple life? Spaghetti westerns in the highest class ... as we call it in Denmark.
I think that Django Unchained is a great movie watched it twice and in my opinion the end with Django on top of his horse doing those tricks with this song is a hommage to terence hill
What else can be said? Incredible film. Can't wait until it's out in HD on On Demand. I haven't seen all of Tarantino's films, but this is arguably his best since, and possibly better, than Pulp Fiction.
This is the main theme from a movie where the main character is named Trinity. I think it was "They call me Trinity". I havent seen it in years but it was a great movie. I hope Django did the song justice.
In Germany the movie calls "Die rechte und die Linke Hand des Teufels" --> "the right and the left hand of the devil" :-) it is the best Bud & Terrence movie ever!
Same here! lol i was like holy crap for real? Lol then when Django twirled his horse around and made it walk. I was like this is so kickass! Haha Nobody knew what it was from which is sad but i'm glad i recognized it

Great Quentin Tarantino you see that there is a little bit of Italy in you
Gabriele Uccellator he's half italian so duh..
Another Great Tarantino Movie with famous actors......
Should have won an oscar for the music. Quentins use of the music in Django is genius!
This sound was the main theme of an older western called "His name is Trinity" with Terence Hill and Bud Spencer . But I agree , he is a genius !
The Song was Original produced for a Bud Spencer Movie.
And Terence Hill. the Italian Spaghetti Western filmed in Almeria (Spain) "They Call Me Trinity"

Grande Terence Hill! Thank you for making lazy childhood sundays awsome.

He's the guy who's the talk of the town
With the restless gun
Don't you bother to fool him around
Keeps the varmints on the run, boy
Keeps the varmints on the run
You may think he's a sleepy-type guy
Always takes his time
Soon I know you'll be changing your mind
When you've seen him use a gun, boy
When you've seen him use a gun
He's the top of the west
Always cool, he's the best
He keeps alive with his Colt 45
You won't bother to fool him around
When you've seen him use a gun, boy
When you've seen him use a gun
He's the top of the west
Always cool, he's the best
He keeps alive with his Colt 45
Who's the guy who's riding to town
In the prairie sun
You won't bother to fool him around
When you've seen him use a gun, boy
When you've seen him use his gun
