If these get digitalized I'd absolutely love to get them running through my Barbara! Doing amazing work, glad a friend pointed me towards your channel, you seem so careful and caring about all these old things.
Who ever is holding you back from opening up Randyland should be ashamed of themselves. Don’t they know the importance of everything you have to offer the general public with the contents of stuff you have of years gone by. The world and society would be a much better place with Randyland be sharing with all who love happiness and fun. Happy 64th birthday next and many many more into the future!
I wonder why this doesn’t have as many views as the first. This gave me goosebumps! I’m glad you went slow and steady for the audio. I also thank you for not being overwhelmed and just backing off from the animatronic fans, because sometimes the fans can scare people away from the community.
truly amazing randy! if you should have these tapes converted digitally so people can hear these for years to come, i would be willing to help pay for the process if you ever do, this stuff is GOLD!
This truly brought a tear in my eye. I never thought in a million years. I would be able to hear major magic sing again. I would love to hear the rest of the songs again. Would definitely try and have the tape converted to digital. Best of luck on future projects. Can't wait to see what amazing thing you do next.
Since he mentioned there are no other copies, THAT would be priority one, especially since it on tape. This tape needs to be digitized, so you have a digital version of it that can be played multiple times with no issues. There also needs to be backups on tape made!
I share your enthusiasm for this, Randy. I’m in the process of digitizing a bunch of my old childhood Super 8 movies from Ye ‘70s and, while there’s been some deterioration, I’ve been stunned by how many of them still have their color, much like the Major Magics tape has retained its sound. I’m just wondering how much they paid - if anything - to use “When I’m 64”. (Speaking of birthdays, having just hit 63 2 weeks ago, I hope your 64th is a great one - and that hearing this was an early present for you!)
Here in Michigan we have an arcade called Marvin's Marvelous Mechanical Museum, it has attractions that date back to the 1800's. Given the age of some of your attractions, maybe you can get a Museum designation to work around whomever is tossing up the road blocks?
@@deniseboldea1624 tried that 20 years ago; then they say they want a sprinkler system. Had a sprinkler company come and they said if you put it in they will say they want something else. Only excuses.
I wonder if you can make the tape digital and have it saved on a computer. I guess you can play it and record it to your computer. Very cool piece of childhood and history.
I would make multiple copies of that tape. It looks like a standard reel from over here. And like the other guy said, make a digital copy too for sharing on the internet. But yea.. make copies so your not screwed down the road. I'm a deadhead and do the same thing to my precious bootlegs. And you could fix the audio levels.
@@toddmartin6572 I don't know, but I would bet some of the Major Magic fanatics can't tell you who, and where it was recorded, and what they wore while recording it, and what they had for breakfast that morning of recording, and how many cars that guy had!

These videos are like mini tours of Randyland. I would love to see these in real life, but I'm glad we get to have this.
64 years of being the king of the amusement business!

You're the best Randy. Thanks for doing this. So damn cool.
That was awesome Randy!! I was nervous that the tape would be eaten or break. Major Magic lives!!! ❤
What a cool follow up! Never expected to hear this working. That's a serious setup there!

This is fantastic haven't heard the major magics audio in years
Love it as always
Magnetic tape stored carefully will hold a signal for decades. There are videotapes from the late 1950s which have been recovered.
@@Mrshoujo especially if you soak the reels in water a few weeks
Enjoyed this! Thanks Randy❤
There was nothing like turning 6 and having your birthday at Major Magics.
What a groovy parody of “when I’m 64” I love it😂 new subscriber here!
Hearing this song with a banjo is so awesome.
