    The purpose of my channel is to document my cancer journey to look back on, and/or help anyone else going through anything similar. It is also to potentially help loved ones supporting those who are in this fight as well. This is also an easy way to update a lot of people at once. My main goal is to have footage of this journey for my husband and children to look back on. I originally created this channel as a sort of video diary for my
    family.
    Thank you so much for following along on this journey. Your love and support help me so much.

    I have no idea how she kept pushing and pushing herself through such horrible treatments. I felt so sorry for her….and all the vlogs where she was scared, anxiety ridden, so sick and tired of doing more and more treatments even after she was told the cancer has spread to her right lung, more lessons in her brain, LMD, etc…but I also realize she did every bit of it for her kids and Kyle. She was just completely exhausted and sick the whole entire journey. Love her!! ❤. RIP Jenny….we all miss you so much.

    My husband recently retired as a Radiation Oncologist. When he was working full-time, he would often come home with stories of an incredible patient he had met that day. Jenny, you would have been on his Top 5 List!
    He told me not to watch videos about, for or by cancer survivors when I was diagnosed with breast cancer in November 2022. I usually listen to him, but clearly, I did not in this situation. I have LOVED your videos - and Kyle’s. Fortunately, we expect me to be cured. I feel a little guilty when I watch your videos … but also very optimistic. 💕💕💕

    I never got to say goodbye even a 4 year old needs some closure. So it was all just kept away from me and my brothers like a secret.
    I never said goodbye . Never went to her funeral and was told when I asked that she was a frikin star in the sky . To a 4 year old!! Keep doing what your doing and your children will be full of knowledge and understanding ❤

      @Dollydaydream Im so sorry that happened to you, because it happened to my mom when she was 9. She knew something was wrong, when she got up and there were relatives in the house but her mother was not preparing breakfast. When she tried to go into her mom's room, she as stopped. An aunt helped she and her brother to get ready for school and drove them there. When she arrived home, the aunt said that "mommy has gone to Heaven". She knew a funeral was held but not allowed to attend. Her father was heartbroken, and even took on a fulltime nanny to care for the children. Mom was very close to her dad, but didn't want to upset him by asking questions.
      It was one year before he took her to the grave. She saw her mom's name and date of death but it didn't help.
      It has affected her whole life. All she needed was to see her mom, dead or alive. It is so cruel to just "protect" children from the truth. They are very wise and can understand death. They can cope with seeing the parent lying in a coffin, and saying goodbye. Kyle and Jenny are doing a wonderful job of preparing the children for whatever happens. Leaving letters and cards for them, and making videos, will keep Jenny in their hearts. They have wonderful families and friends. It will not be easy, but they won't feel abandoned and confused.

My mom is going through something similar, with brain methastesis, but she is choosing to keep silent about the struggles.. as one of her care givers its hard to know when to push to understand how she is really feeling and when to respect her silence. That's fine; however, Christian's know that regardless of strong faith, God doesn't heal everyone, and cemeteries prove this to be true. Kyle and Jenny are united in preparing themselves and the children for what IS coming, and not in denial about it. They're making memories for when Jenny is gone. Our loving duty to them is our support for THEIR decisions about how to handle Jenny's death. This includes after she's gone, when Kyle and the children will need us more than ever, not sugar coated denial.

    I saw another amazing woman with cancer who recently passed away. She also had a young son who loved having a stuffed animal to hug. They went to build a bear and were able to make him some stuffed animals with her voice singing him songs, saying I love you and then came the one that brought me to tears. She used to tell him every day "when mommy isn't here where u can see her anymore, she will be in your heart and you will be in hers". The final bear he got was one of her heartbeat....her actual heartbeat. I just wanted to tell you both as a suggestion since your kids are still so young. They will be able to hear your voice and u will still be with them whenever they need you.

Sharing those recipes and methods is so important for a lasting legacy! Oh my gosh Jenny preparing for the kids the way you are is absolutely amazing. Like I’ve said this before. We lost our mom so quickly from lung cancer when we were in high school. If I would’ve just had a letter or a video like this, it would have made the pain so much better easier to handle. It’s an absolute blessing. What you’re doing preparing for your children. You’re an amazing beautiful gift from the heavens above.
    There’s a scripture in the Bible that says.
    “Nothing clever, nothing conceived, nothing contrived, can get the better of God. Do your best, prepare for the worst- then trust God to bring victory.”

    • @ipacarrollread
      @ipacarrollread 10 месяцев назад +10

      @@jennmooneyA diatribe is a forceful and bitter verbal attack against someone or something so Jenny and Kyle are definitely not engaging in that.
      Perhaps you meant the discussion about Jenny’s impending death or the memories they are trying to give a four and seven year old? The experiences they are trying to give Jenny since she won’t be around to see her children become adults? The grief that Kyle is showing as he loses his wife and best friend to something they have fought so hard against yet are losing to?
      There is no way to cover up what is happening to Jenny and from a grief standpoint, studies show that involving and informing children about what is happening as someone dies is less likely to cause future harm. I worked as a grief counselor for families whose babies died during pregnancy or were stillborn. Pathological grief occurs most frequently in families who wouldn’t discuss what happened and in those parents who blamed themselves for the loss. Children create fallacies in their minds when they don’t know what is happening. It’s like preparing a child for bed. You tell them that he/she has ten minutes before bed so he/she can know what is coming which can prevent the meltdown. Even as adults, people generally experience less trauma when they can prepare for bad things and can sort their feelings in situations where they have no control.
      I doubt that every conversation and activity in their moments offline is about her death but I don’t think it is possible to hide how sick she is. The family has counselors and I am certain that they have gotten advice about what, how, and when to share the details. Those kids can see the changes in their mother and she is doing her absolute best to give them the feeling that Mommy loves them and here is the proof in these videos. Children often take ownership of the ‘bad stuff’ if you don’t handle their feelings well. They do things like blame themselves or say Mommy left because I wasn’t good enough, etc. Knowing what is happening ensures that they know that they didn’t cause Mommy’s illness, pain and death.
      I understood the point that you made about scaring them but there’s absolutely more damage done when we talk down to kids or cover things up because they’re scary. I’m only a recent viewer and I can see the changes in her. Imagine living with her and having no idea why she is different - being tired, being in pain, being scared and grumpy, grieving her life, etc. I would be so angry as an adult if my mother had lied to me about what was happening and then she died. Jenny and Kyle, as well as all the other adults in their lives, are giving those kids the opportunity to show Jenny how they feel about her and that is an extraordinary gift. I would give alot to tell some of my loved ones how much they meant to me but I wasn’t given the chance.

    • @Jerseyboondocks
      @Jerseyboondocks 10 месяцев назад +4

      @@jennmooneyYeah exactly personally, that's what *you* would do- but you are not her. And it's not a diatribe. It's the reality and at least they're not lying to them because the kids were going to find out soon anyway, as they can see what's happening.

    Hello Jenny and Kyle. I will try my best to find the rights words to express myself since I am french canadian. I really admire your strenght both of you, first about Jenny, to endure all theses treatments for the past years, and for Kyle, supporting can be harder then having to endure it ourself sometimes. I just don't know how you get the strenght to make all theses videos. I had a pancreatic tumour last year, I am 32 years old and my newborn child was only 6 months when I had the diagnosis. I was so deep in my anxiety, that thing in your head that you don't know if you will go throught it or not. I had a whipple procedure which is a major surgery, life changing. After surgery, I felt in a severe depression post-traumatic, which I am still in (9 months post-surgery). Never been sick before that. It is so much, so much to handle for our little brain... I admire you guys. We are all scared to feel, see and touch that hourglass of time (timeframe). It is part of this world sadly. You both are amazing, I wish you all the best. Life is beautiful, but sadly we could all skip that part of life, about diseases and cancers. I hope you have a lot of time ahead. It is easy for outsiders to say ; Don't worry about time you have left, we can all die tomorrow so enjoy it! But it might be harder for you guys with all you been throught. Jenny you're so brave. All theses treatment you've been through! In any ways, your kids will always be proud of their mother who went throught all this to stay with her family, no matters how the ends is. Keep hope

I an entering my ninth year of a diagnosis of stage 4 metastatic breast cancer. My doctor gave me 5-7 years and I had told him To would prove him wrong. He had told me I wouldn’t see my autistic grandson graduate. He graduated this past May! Strength in positivity! I hate the inconsideration of smokers, stay strong and positive!!! Meant to share this with you guys. My Mother in law was diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma stage 4. This was in 1990 . She also ended up at the City of Hope after chemo treatment in NYC. Well that being said she ended up in remission the only woman out of 14 on her unit 🙏🙏. Unfortunately later she ended up with pulmonary fibrosis and passed in 2007 . I guess what I'm trying to say is never ever give up. Bless you both ❤

    I love the old school singers that I grew up with, Andy Williams, Bing Crosby, Perry Como, Dean Martin, to name a few. I was diagnosed in Jan 2020 stage 3 lung cancer, I was a smoker since age 17. Immunotherapy and radiation put me in remission. Last check I was still in remission. If it comes back, my only chance would be chemo, I won't do chemo's. I will just take it as comes at that point. I am almost 70 and have a lot of issues, can barely stand and walk due to degenerative spine issues, too many things to name. I pray for you and would gladly trade places if I could. I've lived my life, you deserve to be here. Praying for you.

    I recently came across a little girl whose father had been deployed for a year and she really missed him. Her mom had a full body photo of her dad printed on fabric and then had a stuffed doll made in the shape of the dad with arms and legs so that she could hug her dad whenever she wanted. I'm sure you could find someone who could help you make each one of your kids a "mommy" doll. You are both such fantastic roll models. And your strength is really incredible. Jenny,
    My sister had the same horrible disease diagnosis in 2018 and I wish she would have taken treatment. I took care of her for the entire time and we were able to become close again. We lost our mom to cancer and the day I buried her (I’m a funeral director) our 22 year old brother died of a overdose. She was the last one in my family and I am so alone now. She sadly gave no fight and it hurts so much still. I am praying for you for a great result on your next scan/test.
