Would love to see a video on setting up both Pihole and Unbound in containers on the router.

Can I host a router OS like OpenWRT inside a container and get layer 2 control (i.e. routing,..etc) over all available interfaces in host hardware as if the router installed on host?

Nice, didn’t know you can run scripts without the credentials check. That is very useful!

I like your implementation of containers, but it needs work.

Something on my wishlist: please allow passthrough of usb devices to containers. That would be very useful for home automation.

You can run AdBlock inside the router, for example. Or a CloudFlare Zero Trust service.

Please make an episode on running DHCPv6 server on a container for the purpose of assigning addresses to devices in the local network :)

??. Why not just run the IPv6 package on the Mikrotik.
Included on ROS7 (maybe) but in additional packages for ROS6.
Works well and will save recourses from running container.

@@zactodd3144will it allow me to assign specific IPv6 addresses to my devices? As far I know (and it is also written on MikroTik Wiki) the built-in DHCPv6 server can only assign prefixes, but not individual addresses.

@@zactodd3144Because on router os, the dhcpv6 server can only assign prefixes, not addresses for clients.

Hello to all Mikrotik users and admins. Mikrotik company, I wish you could do something so that we can also install Windows Server on the container. That is, it would be the most wonderful operating system. Although we are very grateful for the current facilities, but it would be great if this was done. Please think about this issue, an operating system including all server operating systems.
