The fact that she isn't freaking out, when you are at her blind side, is a way she is trusting you... if she would freak out she would turn her head to see you... but she knew you were there. I really think she improved... she is so beautiful. All your monitors are beautiful... Can't you do some search games with them? I mean for enrichment. Hide food, hang it so she has to do more effort to have her food? I don't know... play around a bit... so they need work for there food. Btw you are sure close to her. I do enjoy these videos but there are animals I would NEVER keep because I would be deathly afraid of being mutilated by them! I'm still amused he named a lizard after a fried chicken place. It's not a bad name for a lizard, btw, but I'm laughing that the little guy (who thankfully is now thriving AND ornery in a good way!) is named after a hot wings place! Now that we know Bobby is associated with a chicken place, someone has to draw a caricature of Bobby the Lizard dressed as a Southern gentleman. I would suggest the Colonel (Sanders, KFC) but he's trademarked and Bobby needs his own look! Maybe he can be dressed up like Ted Turner or one of the golf pros who lives in the Southeast? I love Laggie, I know she could do alot of damage. But she is so beautiful and powerful. I love monitor's..well most lizards. Wish I could have one but I live in MI and it would cost alot to keep one happy and healthy. So i love watching your video's so much. Thank you

I also am thinking a reptile tattoo over my scars from burns all over my back and side. Covers almost all of my back so maybe a mural haha. Stay strong girlie

You *don't* want needles anywhere near that area if you have become hypersensitive, I know from personal experience that you'll be hanging from the ceiling by your fingernails within 5 seconds. Part of my face and neck hypersensitive due to being shoved deliberately through a plate glass window as a kid, and then slipping on ice a few years later.. If the area tingles when you get cold then that's a sign you might be.
@@rosiehawtrey i cant really feel mine. It sucks honestly. I was deliberately shoved backwards into a fire that was burning for 2 days. My butt crack my left butt cheek and my entire left side of my back all the way up to my shoulder i have a chain burn up the side of my spin from a bike chain that was in there to. Luckily my dr was great i didn't end up getting flown to green bay and didn't need a skin graph but most of it was 3rd degree I had pretty much a giant pad diaper for 2 months and fully wrapped like a mummy in ace bandages. They thought it would be sensitive until bout half way through healing i couldn't really feel most of it.
If it was cold you don’t want your reptile to have food in it’s stomack because it could rot and cause infectius issues (Reptiles being cold blooded, if they are too cold their body slow down and they can’t do basic things like digesting)
Have a look at minkmans channel and his Argus missile - Lagatha is moving slowly compared to him going after mice. I'm used to large lizards but that animal is so far he's almost a blur.

Awe I missed Laggy Loo and I'm so happy to get a update on this beautiful young lady ❤ She's truly beautiful and I feel so bad cause she only has 1 eye to see out of and that causes her to have a lot of insecurities and fear. Lord knows what she's been through before she got into the country? She was imported right? So being ripped out of your home base habitat, being imported and then she lost her eye sight as well, that truly cohldvd traumatized her. Maybe that's why she doesn't like men pulling up on her and grabbing her, even if it's for her own good? She might have some PTSD and hopefully you guys can work on the trust thing and figure out creative ways to get her inside her hide when it gets colder again. I can tell she wants to trust you and she likes you. But she'll always keep an eye on you, literally her 1 and only eye 👁 I love Laggy Loo she's amazing ❤
Today I just bought a little plant that had reminded me of Slinky but now getting home and watching this it sure looks like Lagertha!! It's a Haworthia succulent type plant and it has those speckles very similar to a monitor lizard. It might be a great option for people who like monitors but don't have the room, ability or the money to care for such a large lizard. And Lagertha sure is looking great! She can eat much faster than Slinky too! I suppose she can smell him across the way there, huh? And I guess if you want to touch a monitor, go touch Slinky or Pinky! 😊 They sure don't mind.

Also would, like, an egg lure her in to her hide box when you need to? Monitors are usually enthusiastic about eggs, aren't they? Maybe keep a few boiled ones in the fridge for her. Not sure if the egg being cooked would appeal to her or not, but it might be less messy.

For those giving kenan crap for his sandals. He is literally explaining about relationships with these animals. So yes if its an animal you dont know and havent worked with, then wear protective foot gear. But if you have some sort of relationship with the animal then you can push these things. I own tegus, i recommend anyone else thats around my big guy to wear atleast socks because he can easily take some tors and do serious damage tk a foot, but i myself can walk around him barefoot because ive built that relationship with him and i know his body language. Same thing applies here.
Which works perfectly until you are worried about your tegu who seems to be in pain at 5am, attempt to check her mouth and get a full on bite on your knee that cripples you for 48hrs because of bruising... And a perfect tegu bite radius scar. 99% of the time you are entirely correct - it's the 1% with Lagatha that'd require a blood transfusion and stitches. If she gets the back of the ankle it's goodbye Achilles tendon and I'd hate to see what she could do with a Sophia sized example.
Have you ever thought of putting egg hunting stations in the monitor cages? Like a buried tub full of dirt or just an area that you can bury some eggs in for them to dig for? Maybe soft boiled ones? Just an enrichment thought.
She's full on don't touch. Normally they just tail whip but she turned to bite u😳. Lots of tongue flickin so she's thinking, which is as u know a good thing. 💯✊🏻Love it
Have you considered a small solar panel and battery on the enclosures and a couple of (say 14w) heat mats in there, just in case they decide that they want to sit out when it's cold? Maybe one on the top of Lagathas house where you had to wrangle her from?
If you build out the top of slinks enclosure you could put her in Slinks she would have plenty of space to run and she would stay up high where he stays down low
For anyone that thinks feeding like that is just teasing, it’s not, it’s enriching and trying to replicate hunting live prey, so don’t get all upset Lagertha is looking awesome 🤩

Try leading her into her hide with food every now and then so that you can easily get her go into her box when needed

I like that there is plants in there, seems more natural, så maybe some turtles, but not too many, så the bigger ones are kept?
