    Pizza fritta which translates to “fried pizza,” is a very well known streetfood in Naples Italy. It normally stuffed with fluffy ricotta and crispy pork cracklings, pizza fritta (fried pizza) is a classic Neapolitan street food that tells a meaningful tale. This pizza was invented during the WW2 when many of the ovens were actually destroyed by the bombings, people had to get creative to find replacements for the missing ingredients, and today pizza fritta has become one of the most famous street foods in Naples Italy. The same dough as the normal neapolitan pizza is used for making this pizza fritta, the only difference is the method of cooking the pizza, frying the dough inside the hot oil instead of baking it in traditional wood fired oven. Below are the ingredients needed to make a pizza fritta :)
    Dough recipe :
    High protein flour / 00 flour - 500 gr
    Water - 325 ml
    Salt - 10 g
    Dry instant yeast - 0,5 g (might need less or more depending on the weather/temperature)
    Filling (Stuffing) :
    Ricotta cheese
    Smoked mozzarella
    Parmesan
    Pancetta
    Fresh basil
    Tomato sauce
