    Frankly I consider Nightwing as meta human but at the low-level, that is still impressive for human.
    He may not bulletproof skin, yet if in real life some average thug tried to punch he would break his arm, that's how tough Nightwing is.
    Thanks for the video by the way

    This is one of the best explanations for periodization!
    Performance adaptation (anatomical adaptation- strength endurance)
    Force development (brute strength- increase motor unit recruitment size and cross sectional area)
    Power and Power Endurance
    (RFD-rate of force devlopment, increasing the speed at which optimal force is expressed.)
    The fact that there is an intervention of un-loading in terms of intensity (load% of 1RM for strength or volume of setsxreps for performance adaptation- general preparation and speed of movement (m/s) is pivotal.
    Nightwing would typically just monitor his performance through performance markers. If one of the bases that you mentioned decreases below his norm, he starts with that again, in his case power endurance (the product of force and velocity) and work capacity (aerobic and anaerobic.

      EZ bar routine:
      Squats superset with back lunges
      Dead lift superset with hip thrusts
      Bicep curls, supenated and pronated
      Shoulder press superset with declined pushusps or pike pushups
      Floor press superset with standard pushups.
      I don't have a bench, so I lay on the floor flat. I do 3 sets starting at 5 and going to 15 dropsets with 20 pounds on the bar since that's all I have for now.

    This is a great workout plan, Nightwing is just one of the many comic book Inspirations for me to better myself, but I do have a question, how do I know when I should focus on one phase more than the others like how do I know if I'm getting too big and should focus on one of the other phases for a while?

    • @NoGrayArea18
      @NoGrayArea18 11 месяцев назад

      That's up to you. Are you trying to BECOME Nightwing (gain his physical abilities and be more capable than the average Joe) or just trying to get fit? If you're just trying to get fit, then it doesn't really matter. Do whatever you want. However, if you want to BECOME Nightwing, then you have to do some self reflection. Dick relies on his acrobatics a lot. To be him, you would as well. The way to decide if you're getting too big can be done a few ways. Method one is to look at your body now. If you're super skinny, you're gonna wanna bulk up a little bit so that your bones and such are protected by your muscle. If you're too buff right now (weight is hindering your athleticism) you're gonna wanna cut a bit until you feel able to be more athletic. If you're overweight, you're gonna wanna cut down to a healthy weight and then do one of the two steps above. The second method is to take it as it comes. Start training, and if you feel like lack of weight is hindering you, start bulking little by little (5 lbs at a time works best for me). Same thing the other way around, if you start training and feel like too much weight is hindering you, then simply cut (again, 5 lbs at a time).
      There's also a few ways of bulking and cutting. The first, and most obvious, is to track calories. MyFitnessPal, while controversial, has worked for me in the past. The only caveat here is that it takes lots of prep, focus and eating with intention. It's a lot of work lmao. Tracking can be used for either weight loss, or weight gain. Another way to gain muscle is to be more fluid with it. Your maintenance level of calories is the three meals you eat every day. To gain weight without tracking calories, you have to eat your three meals and a snack of about 100-200 calories (like a pack of nuts). Personally I love this method. It's great for maintaining and getting started with weight gain. There's two issues with it though. 1) I was only really able to gain 15-20 lbs doing this. I was fine with that, but you may want or need more. 2) Because it's less specific, you have to be more careful about what you eat. It's not too hard, just make sure that your food is all dense in calories, but healthy. Examples are greek yogurt, nuts, chicken and oats. You also can't really lose weight with this. The final way (that I know of) is intermittent fasting. This can be used to either gain or lose weight. If you're trying to gain weight, simply eat slightly more (I'm talking a small amount. Like a pack of nuts or a handful of almonds) than your "I'm satisfied" feeling. This is far more intuitive and you have to be really in tune with yourself. To lose weight, you just skip a meal OR eat less calorically dense foods (like fruit).
      Hope this helps a bit

    It's actually pretty silly to worry about putting on a "ton" of muscle mass. Putting on muscle naturally is extremely difficult even if you try. Newbies might see large gains in muscle mass initially, but that will taper off in 6 months to a year of training. Once you near your genetic potential, you may at best gain 1 to 3 pounds of muscle in an entire year with intense training and a good diet. So don't worry about it, and train as hard and heavy as you can while eating a moderate calorie diet

    • @ParisDemers
      @ParisDemers  Год назад

      Sure for a normal person. But for Nightwing there’s not reason for him to train to get as big as possible. If he were to train for Hypertrophy for 10 years he could end up putting on 20-40 pounds of muscle which could really slow him down.

    • @charlesmatthews7397
      @charlesmatthews7397 Год назад

      @@ParisDemers Very unlikely unless he was really attempting to add mass overtime. As I stated before. even if he was doing everything properly and eating in a caloric surplus, he would eventually reach his genetic potential and not gain anymore. And I know from experience because I am a professional natural bodybuilder. The main point is, you will NEVER gain TOO MUCH muscle naturally unintentionally. I really wish I had that problem.

Yes, you certainly could do for E.g power one day, general preparedness the next etc. But from my understanding it's the least efficient way

    Love your videos man! Nightwing, Spider-Man, and Batman are peak in terms of gym motivation for me.
    One question about the routine, would gymnastic rings training be counted as skills training along with martial arts, or would it be more efficient to implement it by replacing certain exercises with their ring counterparts?
