Live feeds not worth it. Lost a number of subscribers while I was going the live feeds last week.
Not sure I will do another live feed to be honest.
I think the intro to my video series on the bundutop roof top tent not going down. So well, also lost subscribers when I posted those couple of vids.
Up until that. I had the best 2 weeks period in regards to subscriber count and views.
Good morning Phil. Thank you for your explanation on the ostrich 270. How can I buy one of the ostrich awning 270? I have been trying to contact usa dealer, but no answer yet.
Best to do a search online for your nearest seller and contact them.
Before you replace your poles, check out Justin Case YT channel. He has made a simple but brilliant solution that locks the supplied poles to the ground regardless of wind speed or storm ferocity. Cheap and effective solution.
Phil here is the link to a simple and effective solution to wind blowing your awning or walls and lifting the poles ‘Justin Case’ ruclips.net/video/wUmprhZtZIM/видео.html … watch from 5:48
Thanks I will check it out. Ive not done anything about the poles thus far
I cant find the video, do you have a link to the video?
@@PhilsCampingReviews sure, the channel is Justin Case solar and camping (or close to that), the video title is Camping Tips and Tricks, here is the link and you can fast forward to 5:46 min. where he explains his solution for windy conditions for his Ostrich Wing 270 with poles and walls ruclips.net/video/wUmprhZtZIM/видео.html
Funny yes state the awning doesn't move in the wind but yet the legs lift of the ground when down so I guess the awning does lift and isn't stable
That's just the legs swinging on there pivot point, there is not peg in points on the base of the poles. What movement you seen is the 4wd shaking in the wind.
As always 👍🍻
Thank you! Cheers!
Definitely have to check if they fit
@@Sawadventures67 Yes. All depends on the zip I reckon. Size should be the same
Good vid mate, i cant see ur fishing rod there while ur doing vid lol
All I ever catch there are Rocks. Very frustrating place to fish there.
But it makes a great spot for videos and to sit back and relax for a while with a cuppa.
My concern is getting the zipper started, which is always a pain with most things (e.g., sleeping bags and tents). I notice you edited your video at the start of each zipper panel. I can assume that's because it was challenging and took you a while. Is that correct?
Yes. Correct. It is a bit awkward getting the zip to start
Once it's started its great. It's just that first bit. It's not as bad as many of the others
By any chance…will the 30 second walls fit onto the ostrich awning……?
This will give the angled walls with the extra under cover area……
I don’t know. Next time I’m with FJ Camping and Touring I will check.
@@PhilsCampingReviews what was the answer to this question?
@@surfinwaves4769 I don’t know. Have not had a chance to compare Stevens wall kit of his 30 second awning, unfortunately he lives a few hours drive away.
Hello Phil, what do you do about the gap between the top of the car and the awning, thinking that rain would blow in there?
Yes. The rain does go through there. I made something to cover that. Will have a video out soon
Ok great, be very interested as I'm in the same boat, thanks again.
Supapeg is the name of the poles you’re looking for
That’s the one. 👍
