G'day Phil. I'm on my 3rd R600 like yours at the start of the video. Great when when it works. First one 3 days, 2nd one almost 12 months. 3rd one still going but one USB C port has stopped working. Very light use and not mistreated. To be fair they they replaced it twice but postage required makes it less than good value. Fingers crossed it will keep going.
That is disappointing to hear. I've owned mine for a long time and never had an issue.
@@PhilsCampingReviews As you say it is best to tell it how it is. Same with the folding panels. Mine were ok to begin with but now 15 mths old they are lucky to get half the power claimed even in perfect weather correctly angled. Still good as a flat battery charger if stuck and if not expecting too much. Agree they are light easy to carry and set up. If nobody tests them we will never know but long term tests are needed for what they cost.
Good on you for being transparent Phil. Many youtubers don't say that. It is important they know. Well done.
Thanks Buck. I think it’s important for people to know.
love your work Phil.
Thanks
A great honest review Phil, I have the All Powers 1500w power station and find it very helpful in my shed for charging batteries an running some power tools but it’s primary use is to run my 60 ltr Engel fridge freezer coupled to the All Powers 200w solar panel. This combination worked great at Goomburra valley last year at the camp out even thow we couldn’t get full sun all day on the panel. We’re also looking forward to the cooler weather to start training again.
They make a great unit AllPowers. Bring on winter.
Great video mate. Thanks for being honest about your concerns about the lithium iron , like you said it is not really a problem unless you use it incorrectly. I have one of the allpowers power stations as well. It has the lithium phosphate and it is awesome we use it all the time. Good to see you back on RUclips again so it’s been awhile. Keep up the great work.
Thanks Stephen. Great to be back
Doesnt work
They melt because people use cheap no-name fuses that come with them or buy no-name fuses from Amazon. There's a guy on RUclips who was tested the no-name fuses and was able to put 20A through a 5A fuse for 20 minutes. Use name brand fuses that have been tested. They work as advertised.
Just got my little smoker😊 Would like to do a ham, small one . There were no instructions. Thank you for your beginner brisket. I was not sure how to set up ,to get going 😊 California out side cooking 👍🍬
Hello from America 🇺🇸 Phil, do you think a 12 inch pizza would fit in that Winnerwell oven? Thank you and God bless you and your family and America 🇺🇸
Hi James. No it will not fit.
@PhilsCampingReviews thank you
thanks Phil, great review mate
Hi Phil. My 12 brass monkey ice maker is great. Problem is, I left it for a time with water in it and it is covered with mould inside. I put a mixture of vinger and water through it. Which cleaned most of the mould out. I can see at the back where the ice forms on the prongs that there is still mould. Is there any way of opening up the top of the machine to give it a good clean?
I’d recommend reaching out to the manufacturer to see if they have any recommendations..
Hi Phil love your videos, we also have one and very happy with it although we need to service it and are struggling to find anyone that will service them. We are in the Mackay QLD region hope you can help Thanks Kylie
Sorry Kylie, I don’t know anyone who services them up your way. Hopefully someone in the comments knows someone. I had mine serviced once, at the Gold Coast.
I had a look and I see you have a dealer there called Viking drive. At 16 peel street
@@PhilsCampingReviews thanks for that already been there they fit them but don't do repairs
😊 Great review!
Surprised you didn’t use the water tray😵💫
Does anyone know if you can take the top off to clean the ice maker section. We accidentally left water in it and didn't use it for a while. The black thick mould at the maker is so horrible.
Your towball weight is measured at the towball hitch so where your jockey wheel is it is actually got more weight on it.
@@beersintheshed. my tow ball weight is within specs for my tow vehicle. It’s about 10kg under. In saying that I’m going to upgrade to one of those Boss hitches as there only a few kg. This ark is about 20kg
I just picked one of these up and I'm going to do some smoking for the first time. Any advice on good wood and rubs for a ham?
I have an Ostrich wing and I’ve been trying to deal with water pooling since I purchased it 3 years ago. It’s the only thing that annoys me about it. I have tried to get the canvas tighter and the rear arm is maxed out and still it pools between each arm.
That's one problem I have not had with mine. Not sure what's going on there.
Very interesting. Was hoping you were going to say you’d done something and it was going to be an easy fix.
@@009atw I do take precautions when it looks like it’s going to rain heavy by using tarp clamps in the middle to create a bit of a V so the water runs off quickly. If it rains heavy enough the potential is it can stretch. Once that happens you are always going to have water pooling
@@009atw in saying that. I’ve been in some heavy downpours and not had any pooling without the tarp connectors. I don’t want to take a chance myself so I always use tarp connectors in the middle when I’m away from camp. You don’t want that canvas to stretch. Otherwise it will not set tight enough to stop water pooling
@@009atw When you open these. It’s very critical that you lift the leading edge of the canvas up over the pivoting point every time you set these up. If you don’t than the canvas will come out of the groove where it’s attached to the frame near the pivot point. If that happens your canvas will not be tight when setup. Maybe this has happened to yours. Especially if you did not lift the canvas over the pivoting point every time you set it up. The only way to fix this is to take the awning down remove the canvas and reattach
how to drain the water from the unit when not in use please?
I leave it full and run in to max temp once a week to keep it hygienically cleaned than I run a fresh lot of water through it.
@@PhilsCampingReviews Thank you so much for getting back to me. Merry Xmas. Alex.
How’s the ice maker going after a few years?
Very good. No issues.
Great ! Thanks !
Appreciate the vid Phil and pointing out the campsites. How does the beach fish?
That I don’t know. Have not fished there in 20 years.
Bought one of these a few weeks back. Does any one else using it notice that it seems to struggle sometimes burning up all of the charcoal even with the top vent fully open. Opening the bottom of the vent is an idea i though of but wouldn't that just let more heat escape and lose temperature?
Yes drill a few holes in the bottom of the charcoal tray makes a world of difference. Did 4 holes at 20mm diameter and sits on about 90 degrees C with the vent open a little bit
My 1225D RedArc runs for 2 hours full charge rate, resets after 20 mins of the charge rate system pulse, float etc. then goes back to what is needed up to 25 amps, 21 amps actual i am getting. But i have gone over all earth circuits for better performance. All connections and cables rated at least double what is required and distance. The main problem i see is the battery being too big for car alternators, 200 Amp Hour or more then you will have to take a lot more things into consideration. I think it is to protect batteries, alternator and wiring as these devices can get quite warm after running at full charge rate for an hour or two. Also temperature sensor inside device can limit output at times but also should reset after about 20 mins if working correctly. RedArc 1250D issues you are having you should speak to a RedArc Specialist. Maybe increase your main starter battery size to match your larger secondary battery as if there is a massive difference between Amps/AmpHours then this causes a lot of issues.
Something is not right if they both weigh about same but materials are heavier duty in one?
@@vehkish2o68 yes. A lot of difference in quality.
Thank you so much for the video. I lost my manual and forgot how to use mine. Winnerwell doesn't have their manuals available online. So you have been a lifesaver. Thanks again ❤❤
Glad to be of help!
I can't find those 3 piece bullet smoker in the US like your Jumbuck smoker , I started out with a smoker like your Jumbuck back in 1997 for $25:00 US back to basics it cooks amazingly for a little bit of money 💰.
Yeah. They are great. Especially for the price.
Best review on RUclips. Does the 2.1m include the storm flap at the bottom? Thanks. Considering purchasing for mine.
Are your referring to the walls. If so the walls in the ostrich wing does include a storm flap.
@ I mean when you say the wall height is 2.1m, does that include the storm flap? The zips on my awning sit exactly 2.1m from the ground, so deciding if I should get the 2.1 or 2.3 wall kit. Thanks.
@ good question. I think it’s not including the storm flap
Lol I’ve never heard of dirty wood little bit kinky maybe morning wood ! the wood is green. It’s wet or not seasoned. Perhaps you shouldn’t own a wood stove.
Have you had the pajero long, how would you rate them.
I owned my Pajero for 7 years now and it’s an awesome 4wd.
I just bought a crusader pathway twin axle, love it
Awesome. Crusader makes a great van. Very good decision
Thanks Phil , hope you enjoy the new store . Thanks for showing us around . Keep ‘em coming ! 👍👍🍻🍻
It was fun taking a look around.
Great stores now. Kings have really improved over the years and have just about everything you need.
I agree.
We may have to go for a drive down to Bundaberg and check it out one day soon. Thanks Phil.
It's worth the trip! Let me know when, we can catch up
How'd you go Phil did you get a start.....😁
Hi, I got some Merch from them
Lovely ep and shop Phil. We have 4 bits of kings kit and all been working faultless.
Thanks.
In your element Phil
Yeah it's great to have them here, but I don't own any Kings gear, at least not yet. There's really nothing more I need. I have to much gear now. Going to be putting up more gear to sell soon.
Can you do a CO PPM measurement at the exhaust at low and high setting to see how efficiently it’s been tuned?
Yes I can do that.
why did you connect via VE.Direct and not BLE? Just wondering...
To far back to remember.
u have got to be kidding , another vid on a bloody heater, oh its got wifi , something totally not needed and another thing to fail i wouldnt buy this crap product ..keep it simple stupid
Very informative video Phil, looking forward to seeing the next in the series. Cheers 👍
Cheers mate.
The two side pieces, could you leave em attached when you fold the awning away? Will watch the rest in case you address that in the video.
I'm not sure. You should be able to, But I can not be certain
If the fuse-holder melts, the current through it is way to high.... Always check the max current of the holder itself and never exceed that!
It’s not the fuse that melts it’s the rubber that holds the fuse in place that melts.
@@PhilsCampingReviews Even the fuse-holders have their limits... Do not run 500Amps trough a 300Amps rated holder (for example) even with a 500Amps fuse.
Great review mate, I own 3 of these and I’ve owned a lot of fridge freezers over the years and these beat every single one on the market. I have one in my shed one in the boat and one in the fourby.. I will never buy anything else then kickass fridges again, for the price there are extremely reliable and affordable highly recommended products by far..
I am happy to hear that you are so happy with these, I have no regrets on getting one. Mine still goes, 24 hours per day. I never switch it off.
This was like watching an old Laurel and Hardy movie 🤣🤣😂😂
LOL. Felt like it at the time.
My dream stove is the Winnerwell Nomad large with the windows. I really want to get one to install it in my 1967 GM city bus that I live in full-time but i can't afford it so I still don't have any heat, maybe one day
There not cheap, that's for sure. I hope you will get one
@PhilsCampingReviews i got a update for you. I was able to get the Winnerwell Nomad large stove and I can't wait until I can install it in my bus but i still need to get a few more parts. I am really needing to get that secondary burn chamber
@@jamesmason7124 That’s great to hear. Make sure the bus is ventilated well while in use.
thank you for the video
You are welcome.
Old mate needs to work on his cardio. Good clip tho.
That happens when the mic picks up your breathing, but you where right, I needed to build up my cardio at the time.
Thanks Phil , good to see you again . Keep ‘em coming ! 👍👍🍻🍻
Cheers
Looking forward to seeing your reviews Phil, both the heater and the Allpowers power pack. Cheers.
Cheers.
