I've seen him so many times but never where he played these back to back. Then a few years ago I hear the beginning of #41 and I freak out , jump up and down embarrassing my 16 yr old son screaming "you know what's coming next you know it " and then Dave went into another song and then played Say Goodbye , even he knew it didn't flow and said " well that was a terrible idea" these two songs should never be played apart. When my kids were little they paid close attention to the exact moment it transitions, even in grade school my kids understood the brilliance of these two songs
Interesting playing and learning this music it finally burned me out. Too much radio play, too much of my own okay, but now, years later, I'm back, and it's safe. The waters are nice, the music is great, can't wait to relive the catalog
this is one of the best song transitions ever. can't listen to one without the other. I was always the cheater. until I was cheated. karma is a bitch. but so was both of them!
There is no genre anymore. Bands need to sell concert tickets to make money and festivals are the easiest venues to share the insurance money. Listen to the bands today. You can hear the pandering to the crowd in their actual albums. Dave Mathews may have been a jam band type (man I hate jam bands) but the new wave of money makers have an outdoor concert sound, to sell outdoor concert tickets. I take this a little too seriously though, so don't come down this hole with me. Last time I saw Dave Mathews I actually cried. I'm a dude. Again, ignorance is bliss so just enjoy the music and never, never lift up the curtain to see how it's made. Never never.

7:48 is climax then back to being friends again.
See you next Tues after DUMPSTAPHUNK all you lovely musical people!
I realized Dave and his band's genius listening to this musical combo after a blissful night spent with friends and a bag of weed.
Dave Mac that was 18 years ago BTW
Michael Melonas Vaporizer work much better and conserve weed
+Dave Mac that's a good way to put it. Though many people get defensive when you call dmb pop.

Now I gotta hear, " I let u down " after this
With Lillywhite, they had the most pure recorded sound. They kept it honest and emotional...True artists!
Greatest live band, too.
The transition and the sex.
But the transition
Thanks!
