- Earlier this week we were lucky enough to spend the afternoon with Andrew McMahon at The Redbury here in Hollywood. We filmed a bundle of exclusive performances and interviews. Andrew just released a new EP, The Pop Underground showing off his electronic pop sound so of course we had to ask him all about it.
Take a look at the latest video in our series with Andrew giving us an idea of what he has been up to recently in our 'Last Questions interiew! And stay tuned to see Andrew performing a song (upon our request) from his project Something Corporate, "I Woke Up In A Car" acoustic and more from "The Pop Underground." Be sure to pick up Andrew's new EP The Pop Underground on iTunes and catch him live; he's the best! #musicrules
What is your favorite moment from our session with Andrew?
Whoever requested this deserves a raise.
Lol
I've been listening to Andrew (and company) since I was 14. I'm almost 25 now. I've listened to him faithfully with SOCO and with Jack's and now solo. He's always been consistent. His voice, if anything has only fully matured. I simply love this man. Everything he does is brilliant and beautiful. This video made my heart warm. Nice to see Andrew performing an older song.
amen sista
sara mahon well said and agreed
sara mahon after I graduated high school in 06 me and my brother followed him around Florida when he was with jacks mannequin. We saw them like 5 times lol.
I saw him solo by accident a few years ago, had no idea he was going to be opening for Weezer. Hadn't seen him in like 12 years prior.
39 here. Never missed a show in Arizona or LA. Going the end of the month and can't wait ❤️ SoCo forever.
God damn it's like hearing it for the first time all over again
This guy is seriously a genius, like I can't even. Definitely one of my favorite musicians of all time
Well this took me right back to 2002. Good times.
Been listening to him since I was 12 and will continue to always. So amazing!
In my opinion, this and Synesthesia are the best two he's ever written. This one I have been listening to for over a decade and I can still hear it every day. He found some way to make certain pop-punk/rock songs transcend the times.
With a new venue opening in my hometown, Rockford IL, I'm hoping the powers that be get smart enough to invite Andrew McMahon to come play this (and many other) songs here in town. I tend to blast this on any given jukebox I can find it on in town, but I'd love for him to hear the town rave when he name drops us in this classic. Here's hoping to catch his tour soon!
Mannnn this takes me back..I have been listening to him 12 years maybe...
I feel privileged to be able to listen to Andrew.
Just saw him in Hollywood Tuesday night. Amazing show as usual. He’s a genius. Been a fan since Leaving through the window all his solo work is still a masterpiece. Never fails 👌🏻

At least he didn't have to stop in Rockford.
Oh man. The memories. Sure miss Something Corporate. Not as big of a fan of his last two albums. :/
Did you know that they actually never officially broke up Something Corporate. Andrew said that if they were start making music again they don't want it to be like the reunited because he never really broke up
yeah his newer input seems little too content to bait for the alternative charts, as opposed to an actual musical progression
Yeah I have a video when I saw him do Konstantine live, its so much better live
wish it were louder :\ got everything turned up and still cant hear what he is saying
Is that a Marriot
anyone know what type of Yamaha that is?
AJ Schmidt Looks like a P-115. (That's what I have, and the button configuration is the same as the one in the video.)
