- Back again for Part 3 inside American Pinball's Legends of Valhalla. If you've watched my other two videos on this pinball machine you'll know we had a problem with the ship post firing and causing all kinds of issues - but why? I think, thanks to a tip by a viewer, we made have found it.

Flash, Gor Gar, Middle Earth, Volley and Playboy and a few more are on my want list for many years as they go back to when I was a kid in the late 70's and they were brand new games. I just have the space for 5 so that is all I have and none of them are in the line up :(
I recently picked up a Playboy that needs a little work. I'll probably do a repair/cleanup video series on it. I have to get the stored machines out of the workshop first. No room to work at the moment.
@@SevensPinballorama no mater what people say, I like the Play and game pattern for the Playboy. On top of that the Pink and Black just makes the game stand out as well as it's unique sounds. And if you do not do a little dance or jig when it plays the iconic call out, you are just not playing the game correctly :)
@@IMRROcom The little melody is a classic. I never really played pinball back in the early 80s arcade days, but I remember hearing that tune everywhere I went. I can't wait to have mine up and running.
It's going to be a fun project because it needs a bit of everything.
Did you move the sender LEDs as well as the receiver? Could be a bad pin in the molex interrupting the emitter, say on vibration from the ball eject into the plunger lane or even from the ship coil firing.
According to the circuit diagram of the opto board it looks like all the emitters run on the same lines so you should be able to switch their positions around without effect to narrow down the issue if it persists (I'm quite new to electronics tho so I'm entirely speculating lol)
I did. I swapped both sides. I realized I didn't make that entirely clear in the video.
