Hey guys! Another episode from our Atlanta series for y'all ;) This time we've met up with Forest AKA Tomcat to tear up the local mountain roads in his modified Honda S2000 AP2! It's a great build that's definitely seen some hard driving, as it should. With Road Atlanta just around the corner, and an unlimited amount of dense mountains to get lost in, this S2000 has been born a warrior from the get-go. Enjoy!

Had an awesome time letting you guys drive and film the car! Thank you so much!! And to address the engine, yes, it's currently blown. I spun a rod bearing. However, it will be back in the car soon as a fully built, Brian Crower stroker.
What are you stroking the motor to? Won't you lose rpm as a trade off in torque/power?
@@ayowser01 Just under 2.4 liters. And we're running a stock top end on top of the stroked bottom end so the entire goal is midrange.
After owning a subaru, I can relate... maybe the oil pump needs upgrading or looser bearing tolerances
@@TC9700Gaming mid-range power is what it's all about, especially for a track car. It should feel great with the added power.

I've owned my S2K (AP1 for over a decade) The S2K is perfect from factory.
Yeah you can tune and tweak here and there but as a car from the factory in the 90'/early 2000's, you can't really talk down on it as a Production car.

I love me a good S2000. Such a clean car, it's got the power, the handling, and the pure drivers car feel. I like the fact that neither you nor the owner cleaned up the car. Shows that it's constantly being used and it's put through the ropes, the way it should be!
It truly is one of the last great analog, manual, and N/A sports cars to come out of Japan. One of the greats for sure.

Not 100% true, Fd3s is another touge example,
JJ Sorenavki the s2000 and the fd are by far the fastest touge cars. Best motoring has proved this for many years and many years to come
S2k for the win!! The 86 twins are really cool, but there is something about high revving Honda's that makes me smile :) VTEC just kicked in.....

I am more impressed with a 230whp NA S2000 than a 500whp Turbo S2K.
I am a proud owner of an NA AP1 with bolt ons & a 450whp Evo IX.
Tomcat is the best talker. I have always been amazed at how he can continue talking for ever. Wish I had that skill.

Another thing......I noticed right away how twisty the backroads of Lawrenceville and winder ga were. Freakin awesome roads out there. Just not a lot of elevation and not a lot of visibility due to the thick foliage.
This made my heart so happy as a fellow s2000 owner.

In my opinion , the s2000 is the only Honda with a unique exhaust sound in comparison to all other N/A 4 bangers that honda has produced ranging from the d15 to the k24. Theres no other sound like it.

look at the front and rear as it comes in and out of the corners. The s2000 has to go down in the history books as one of the best looking cars of all time. If by the time im 60 and ppl aren't talking about the s2000 like a c1 corvette or something then something is wrong

AEM Infinity, compliance bushings have been replaced with solid units from Kingpin Machine, and Ohlins Road&Track coilovers.

Beating a factory stock old 2006 z06 is the benchmark if you race your car at the track. Sorry Honda there's better out there than you will ever be :(

I have a gutted 405whp D16 series eg on full race aluminum suspension setup that would turn faster than 99.9% Hondas lighter front engine and big torque knifed fully built on using pump gas that would put this s2000 to shame on 225 NT01. And also drift a slower 370z. I have a fast Honda and guess what, theres way faster out there. Quit trying with Honda's when you can actually be faster. I drive plenty of track cars. Sorry the truth comes out when you think the s2000 can beat a modded z06 let alone an modded acr. No excuses.
