Really glad to have passed the Feb 22 L1 exam first time. I will always remember receiving that email with my result... Whilst I was connected to multiple IV bags in St. Mary's Hospital in London 😂 FinTree... Thank you so much for the support and I can't wait to get started on L2 (once I have recovered 😂)

@@MrFusion182 take care ..how many hrs of preparation did it take to crack L1 when did you start preparing, and how many hrs you studied everyday?

@@sjb371 Good morning and thanks for the kind words!
The good ol' "how many hours" question. I can say for certain that in my experience, 300 hours was not enough. I did not keep count of how many hours I studied, my approach was to study as much as possible until I had become confident in the subject.
As a general rule of thumb, I tended to average out at maybe 2 to 3 hours per day, sometimes more if I felt fresh enough to do more. There were some days where I put in really long sessions of around 8+ hours and I seriously regret doing this. Looking back, the long study sessions were useless for me and I found that the retention of information was inferior to the shorter sessions, where you give yourself an ample amount of recovery time to sink the information in before the next session. A bit like the gym really, where the recovery period in between your sessions are crucial to the success of the workouts.
I would also say that I took some well deserved breaks in my studying for recreational purposes and I should have prioritised "fun" a little more during the studying process because when all you are doing is studying, it is not good for your mental health. I know now that it is okay to take a holiday and to still do the things you love in and around your study program so that you keep your mind fresh and ready to smash this exam.
So yeah, 2-3 hours per day until you get the concepts. Use ANKI flashcards for your active recall and do not waste time making paper notes.
If you want to talk to me more about this, message me on Instagram at marylebone_shreds.

Eric u passed while being close to mps, that means your a one lucky ba$t@RD XD. cheer up mate u can always study harder next time and revise l1 material. your way of thinking is definitely sad because your subconsciously telling urself that you aren't enough, and thats not true at all. I know its been a long time and I hope your doing better now.

if we see aggregate results then still sampling bias can come in.
