When a big star like Keith Urban is reduced to being a 9 year old kid again, giddy with excitement from seeing a hero, that is iconic! Love them or hate them, KISS deserve their place and all of their accolades.
He's a douche. I met him & Gene at a book signing. Paul wouldn't give us the time of day. Gene, on the other hand stayed & took pictures with all of us.
Yeah man,I still have that iconic( for me) shot of Ace Frehley leaning back with his Les Paul smoking on my laptop desktop. That's what kept me playing after the first year to this day. Really cool.
Lmfao ..Kain..I hope you play better than he did...cause he wasent very good at all..lol..you never see any kiss members in polls of best groups or best guitar players or best drummers...but they are number ONE AT MAKEUP..lmfao

To people who were born in the 70s that would be like meeting Spiderman or The Incredible Hulk. Kiss were something more than a band when I was a kid. They were on lunchboxes, board games, cartoons , movies, action figures , etc. When I saw them in 96 at their reunion tour it seemed surreal. And they sounded great too. Like veteran players onstage. But if they sounded just ok it would have been fine, because they were there in person.
I watched their 2020 New Years Eve show last night, and I thought about how in 1980, I was 10, and too young to go to their concert, although I listened to it on my grandparent's front lawn, and how amazing that the same band played a great show 40 years later. I had watched the Kiss Alive 11 footage just before watching the 2020 concert, I gotta say that they still kicked arse, even if Tommy Thayer is one of the most boring guitarists ever!
@@Dave-Rough-Diamond-Dunn I only saw them that one time and I am glad I got to see the original 4. Ace played like an old school rocker , and shot fireballs from the black Les Paul just like it was 1977. @@Cincinnatus1869 I saw that tour, but Peter didn't come to Australia, it was Eric Singer. They didn't let on though, there were arguments at the bus stop after. I'm sure Paul said "Peter Chris on the drums" at the same place as in 77. I'd seen them in about 92 I think, without makeup, sounding heavy, "I was made for loving you" was more Metallica than disco, then the reunion tour, then again with Motley Crue in 2015, but I've still never actually seen the original line-up. The 2015 show was great, it was outdoors, basically on the back of a truck, and a very small crowd. Paul's voice was shot, he could sing, but he could barely talk, so the set contained a lot of Gene's songs, stuff they don't usually play, so that was great anyway! :)
