I Made Two Titanium Rings For My Mom

Happy new year!!! In this video, I make a couple of rings for my mom for Christmas. They are both made from a titanium alloyed metal called Timascus. Timascus alloy is similar in nature to how Damascus steel is forged.
In this particular type of Timascus, there are three different titanium alloys twisted and forged together making one continuous titanium-combination alloy. The metal is often then used to make jewelry and custom knives.
When you heat the material, it reacts with oxidation which creates a colorful wood like pattern. I picked up this piece a few months back from a shop from the Ukraine.
