Thanks a lot! The official unlock method doesn't work for the redmi note 8 anymore, xiaomi doesn't want anything to do with old devices. Other methods bricked my devices, but your method fixed it and unlocked the bootloader.
Bro... It is compulsory to short edl points. can"t we just use adb command "adb reboot edl" to boot into edl mode and then use TFT unlock tool for unlocking bootloader via fastboot. Please tell me what I am missing. thank you..

Btw can we skip that firehose stuff and only use edl+fastboot command in TFT tool for unlocking BL or its important to perform flashing of files previously... Tell me a little about it if possible.. So when i want to wipe system data it doesn't showing in wipe section like my twrp advance wipe doesn't have system data option... im unable to install gsi in A31 please tell me what is the problem how can i slove?

I dont think adb reboot edl will work on this phone. But feel free to try it

If i'm not mistaken you have fastboot mode on the custom recovery, right?
Try fastboot -w, or simply try another GSI
