Thanks everyone who watched my run!!! I hope you enjoyed it, even if it wasn't my best. if anyone is interested in more/trying running Mark, check us out at forum.speeddemosarchive.com/post/mark_of_the_ninja_pcxbla2.html
I fell in love with this game when I first played it, and it was an obvious choice for speedrunning. When I saw the first speedrun, it was a glitch run using Serenity blink from the first level, and although it was entertaining, it wasn't really ninja-y. But now! Yes! I am so happy about the whole no out of bounds thing. And a ghost run? It's like christmas came early. I am really glad to watch this speedrun. And the story of this game... Oh god. I once saw a guy posting a page-long post about the different theories and stuff, it's really messing with your head this game.
bluebird really? I thought this games story was predictable. I didn't feel like there was that much depth. I haven't played the dlc yet but I would love to see an analysis of the plot if it doesn't have any spoilers for it.
As it just so happens, duriing my casual playthrough, I got dogs killed by a guard friendly-firing at them after getting him terrorized. Unintended, yes, but it shows how even despite how the game devs didn't want you being inhumane about the whole "dog-murder" business, there are still ways around it, and it just so proves how well made this game is. Amazing piece of art, amazing speedrun, these are the things that make me glad I'm a gamer.
It sounds smart, but my process for finding that glitch was literally trying semi-random things for a couple of hours and eventually finding something useful :P
oh wow, the glitch hunter himself is here commenting :D i really like this game and by watching speedrun of it, i'm able to perform few small tricks myself and it makes the playthru so much more entertaining thanks for your hard work :)
Normally it would be OoB, like it's use in the following level, but the platform it hopped to here is fully accessible from the other direction. The point I land after teleporting past the stalker on the roof a few seconds later is the roof access from the intended route.
I did for roughly half the game. It doesn't unlock until after lvl 5, as that's the earliest I can finish 3 stealth seals. As for the use of it, the silent running isn't always the reason for it. In the levels before it's unlocked, or the levels past 10 that require the path of the mark, we've routed it so that we should almost always be running regardless of sound. That said, there are levels in the 6-10 block that are faster because of the silence, but it's also due to the additional factors of that suit. You can use two stealth items (I.e. Something in addition to smoke bombs, as those are mandatory) lvl 7 and 10 make heavy use of the addition of flares for a fair amount of time saved for example.

This kind of game could be the best 2D Batman game ever
I love this game and Assassins Creed Chronicles series ❤️
25:36 lmao they took a selfie in the middle of the run
I wish there was a sequel.
I can't describe how much I wish there was... part of why I run it is because I did everything else you could do, and still wanted to play it.
Vyreck Yeah there is just so much they could expand on, also they didn't advertise it enough.
Christopher Diethrich have you gotten the dlc yet? I haven't.
Payton Holmes Yes I got it with the game.
The run starts at 5:20

Excellent
@ 39:25 If the developers didn't want you going that route, would it not be considered out of bounds?

Surprised you didn't do path of shadow. Makes your running silent.

+Vyreck 030
Vyreck you could play the game once, unlock it, then do it for the whole game.
+Maiq The Liar VII But that would be a different category, because the category is New Game
