i have a room mate who dose not have a phone (he hates phones ) is the I-phone or Android Phone the only way to set up the meta 3 head set using the horizon AP is there anouther way to do this i thought some one could use a I-Pad possibly or is a phone the only way to set the head set up ?????????
ipad is possible. but why would your rommate want to use a vrheadset which is way more steps ahead than phones, rather than doing the first step of having a phone? does he know meta is run by facebook?

For Christmas a couple of years ago I got my son a PS4 Pro (SSD modded) w/ the O.G. PSVR, racing wheel, HOTAS (Star Wars Squadrons is dope AF!), the Sony Aim controller... Basically the full gambit. This last Christmas however I splurged on a Meta Quest 3s. Completely blew his 11yo mind! Haha! Now, I'm trying to rig up a budget PC for SteamVR/PCVR with parts I have laying around. I've got an older desktop w/ a Gigabyte MB, 16gb DDR3, and an old Intel i7 3770, but I'm not exactly sure what GPU to start looking for. Maybe an RX 580 on the ultra cheap? IDK Anyway, I really dig your channel bro! Cheers!
Bought my first Meta three headset December 3 two weeks later had to return it something about bricking or bricked so I trade it in for a new one brought it home this one paired up to all my things immediately , when the first one would not and the visual on the first one was absolutely horrible. Couldn’t get anything to work right, second one was working fine but over the weekend I returned that one too. The only reason I did that is because I spent $200 plus on games on the first one and yes I useused the exact same set up as I did on the first one that’s always the first question and I lost all my games and Meta said that’s impossible😡 So what happened to them?? when I have all the receipts I sent them and they keep telling me that’s impossible 😡 I will never have anything to do with Meta again in my life I canceled Facebook, Instagram, messenger etc. anything to do with Meta in my life is gone I told them I get more entertainment out of playing the board game Candyland than that piece of blank blank 😮 Meta three headset !! Don’t mean to drop this on you, but I’m telling everybody know just how awful meta support is 😡!!
That sounds frustrating, I'm sorry to hear about your experience! Sound like if the visuals were off, you might have had your IPD off or something else going on like poor wifi or there issues. If you have a gaming PC I would recommend picking up a cheap HP reverb or HTC vive, a bit more to setup but fantastic gaming experience if you already have a gaming PC. Hope you find your own way eventually to enjoy VR as it is an amazing thing. I wish I could play more but is difficult due to my visual snow condition and quick to motion sickness 😅 that's why I don't play it for long or very limited in games I play. Hopefully you enjoy some of the short VR game walk thru I post later on or even some of the 3d printed content I'll be posting later on. Best of luck!
