Sorry the long response coming, but I get really get excited talking Super Cs! Of course, my answer is YES! If you want to travel the country and truly be comfortable on any road, in any condition, at any speed, and going up or down the steepest grades then there is nothing that compares to a Super C. We bought our Verona at Dylan's after the 2018 Hershey Show and we will never own anything but a Super C again. We RVed all over the country for 10+ years in a gas RV before we bought the Renegade. Our gas RV really had worn me out. I was tired of fixing everything all the time, fighting the wind and passing semis (even with every suspension upgrade I could bolt on), and crawling up the slightest hills and burning the brakes going down mountain passes (no matter how much I downshifted). The Renegades are not cheap, but we got a good show discount. Also, with the TRUE commercial truck chasis, engine, and transmission designed to go 500,000 miles working hard everyday and Renegade's build quaility, you can truly run this around the country for 15-20 years.
I'll do the Matt review and give you the three things we love the most and three things we would change:
    Things we love:
    1. Power and drivability: We set the cruise at 70 with our F150 in tow and the RPMs barley move on a 6% grade. It will take an 8 or 9% grade for it to even want to shift down to 5th. Handles a 30 MPH cross wind no problem and you don't even feel passing semis (on the rare occation a semi is able to pass you!). It may not float like a luxury diesel pusher, but the airbags in the back take out the bumps and I like the springs in the front for a truer feel of the road and when cornering downhill. To me it rides like a luxury pickup.
    2. The Renegade is as comfortable camping at the fancy RV park as it is way down a dirt road on BLM land. Having the quiet 8000 diesel Onan generator, 150 gallons of water and a 75 grey and 75 black, we have found that we are skipping RV parks and going out for longer trips to more State Parks, Harvest Hosts, and remote locations.
    3. Servicibility: I can do all of the maintenance in my driveway. If you can do basic maintenance (which I know you can), then the Renegade is as easy as maintaning as a diesel pickup. Buy fluids and filters in bulk and save hundreds/thousands vs. taking it to the service center.
Bonus: The Cool Factor! No mater where you go, everyone wants to talk about the truck. You also get lots of thumbs ups drving down the road, even from commerical truck drivers.
    Things we would change:
    1. We would replace the carpet on the slide. It's not too bad, but I wish it was a continuation of the floor or that type of flooring that is in the Airstreams.
    2. We like that there is no propane onboard, but don't like that you have to be plugged in or have the generator running to use the induction cooktop.
    3. You have to fill the two 50 gallon fuel tanks separately. I struggled with this for the first 6 months and was intimidated to go into the truck lanes at the truck stops. Once I started using the truck lanes, fueling is a breeze. I also signed up for the TSD fleet discount fuel card that lets me pay at the pump in the commercial lanes and saves me on each fillup. I paid $1.92 a gallon at a TA in Jersey on our way home from our last trip. The price at the pump was $2.88. I get 9 MPG at 70, 9.5-10 if I keep it under 65.

Thanks for sharing all that info. We were very impressed how it drove. Very solid handlers 75mph with no problem. We would probably want a cascades and tandem, but we are looking very seriously at Super C’s, MJ loves them.

@@EndlessRVing Izzy, The Cascadia is amazing. A couple of things to keep in mind: 1. Price is a couple hundred grand more for the Cascadia I believe. Renegade puts the same components and quality in the Verona. Unless you are going to haul around 15,000 pounds all the time, then I believe the M2 has all the power/cargo capacity you need. 2. Height. At 12' 6" the height of the Verona is a concern of mine sneaking into all of the cool State and National Parks and BLM lands and even several of the campgounds we love to go to. I have had to manuver around/brush some branches and obstacles, but have made it. I believe the Cascadia is 13'6" and there are at least a dozen places and sites that we have fit the Verona that I believe we would have been shut out of at 13'6". The Cascadia is a BEAST though. You will be King of the Road!

    • @EndlessRVing
      @EndlessRVing  4 года назад

@@markgauthier250 all valid points. Thanks for sharing. I would have to see interior space of both units 45 foot on cascades vs 40 foot on m2. Either way we would likely purchase used which would put a cascadia in our budget and one on an m2 below our budget.
      Thanks for the insight.

Hello Izzy, MJ, and Jason!! THAT looks like a great ride!! You can bring many kitchen sinks with that load hauling capability. It also looked like it was not lacking in pretty much any amenity inside. You would be able to visit us here in the San Juan mountains of CO very easily in that rig! That’s got a lot to like and I’m convinced that a Super C is inherently safer than a Class A. I’m still very impressed with several of the Newmar features like the Aquamizer shower, comfort drive, and the flush-fitting tile floor on the slide-outs. I don’t know if Renegade has any of those.
It all comes down to how MJ & Izzy feel about it, not what anyone else says.

@@EndlessRVing I understand you live in NJ . I live in Minnesota and in Minnesota if vehicle has air brakes you need the endorsement even doesn’t matter what it is used for. So my opinion is that you look at the states you plan n taking it to on your trips and see what the other states say. Cause it just may save the headache of tickets and other expenses. And if you want to pull ur ram look at seeing if you can get a bigger at least 450 hp motor I travel west a lot and see under powered coaches trying to go uphill at 25 to 39 mph I would recommend at least 500 uptown compensate the weight and mountainous terrain

Hi Gus, this is a beautiful RV. But do your research on that power train. The Cummins engine and Allison transmission are great but the emission on diesel trucks now are very expensive to repair. Check to see who will be handling the warranty work on the engine. Even though the emission system is covered under warranty I have seen trucks tied up at the dealer for weeks. This could be a problem if you are out on the road. Today the cost of running a gasoline powered truck is much less than diesel. Also consider the price of diesel fuel. Talk to owners of other Freightliner trucks To see how reliable they have been. Be safe in these crazy times.🇺🇸
