    Nice trailer. I've been wanting a dump trailer for years and finally bought one.
    The "Ultimate Dump Trailer." 16' long, 4' fold down sides, 2x8 tube frame, one piece 10 gauge floor, 6 D rings, rear drop stabilizer stand for heavy loading, Hydraulic full width ramp that let's down for loading and lifts for dumping, 47 degree dump angle, spare tire with matching aluminum wheel mounted under the bed, huge storage tray under bed, 10k Hydraulic tongue jack, tarp, corded Hydraulic control, 2 remote controls and a manual back up, all powdered coated finished, ALL STANDARD and a 5 YEAR WARRANTY. Thing is a beast of a trailer. Couldn't have asked for anything better.

    I really like the gravity down feature. I've been at trtansfer stations and scrap yards and have run out of battery part way down. Had to get a jump from another guy once to get it down. Now I carry a jump box with me. I also have a cable coming from the battery to the back of the truck with a quick connector so if the battery goes dead I jump myself and all is well. The trailer is usually parked on a job somewhere so I don't usually have access to an outlet for a charger.That gravity down feature would mean not having the hassle.

    Rick is a great salesman very knowledgeable! we bought our pj deckover last year from him and nite equipment. they order trailers the way most customers would, 12oc crossmembers, 12k jack, split landscaping ramp gate, v nose deck..we would buy again.

    The tarp should come standard with a "rubber rope" along the sides to tie the tarp down better.

    We have a 2012 utility and a 2014 dump PJ trailer good trailer but the only bad on both its the powder coat paint start show rust after 18 month dont know why because the powder coat pain supose to be the best. Other wise good trailer. We always have the trailers in Central Florida

    A half ton truck has the power to pull, and a trailer brake ensures it will stop, but what kills people is the plush suspension on a half ton truck. The truck pulling a skid loader etc will start to get out of sorts and begin a death weave that you may or not be able to pull out of. I had this happen towing my Bobcat with my former half ton truck and it was pretty scary. Never again. Always used my dually or at least 3/4 ton truck after that. Just FYI.

    • @johnekedahl8104
      @johnekedahl8104 7 лет назад +4

      Because it is a 14k trailer, it will need need state inspection along with the tow vehicle. Also the driver will need a cdl, along with a medical card to be legal. In Illinois that is. A half ton will not do the job, but I see it everyday.

    • @jamesshotwell810
      @jamesshotwell810 6 лет назад +1

      In Tx at least the minimum weight required for a CDL is 20,001 lbs. Medical card is part of getting your CDL to begin with. Reasonably certain that is universal. (CDL holder driving for System Transportation)

    • @kevinmask8652
      @kevinmask8652 6 лет назад +5

      Most newer 1/2 tons can handle 11,500 lbs or more. Its not the taking off thats the issue its stopping it.

    Its a 14k trailer that's physically heavier than a normal one, so you now have less carrying capacity. All the Fluffy stuff on this trailer means zero. Everybody else spent a few thousand less and can carry more weight than this trailer. Great job. Haha

    • @carlosviera5718
      @carlosviera5718 6 лет назад +3

      mattsbrute yup i rather have a 7x12 easier to hit tight alley spots and lighter means more pay load

    • @Sny734
      @Sny734 6 лет назад +3

      Yeah? Well ask your grandpa about a Allis Chalmers HD5 crawler high lift compared to the nearest equivalent John Deere. The Allis Chalmers has buried 3 John Deeres in the grave yard and is still running strong. It's a balancing act. You can have a lighter trailer that will hold up if you want to pay the premium for lighter stronger steel or aluminum. Aluminum doesn't fair well with twisting. Most people aren't equipped to weld aluminum.
      What about the landscaper that needs larger to haul fluffy stuff.

    • @macclark4112
      @macclark4112 5 лет назад +2

      That’s kinda funny because I have the 16’ PJ Gooseneck & pull 16,000+ lb. load after load. My dealer installed 8,000 Axles and as long as I load towards the tailgate. The load will dump just fine after 4 years I Need to buy new batteries. I just replaced the tires and it’s hauled more loads then I can count. I pack my 9500# Cat Skidsteer all over usually on 35 mi. trips. I did have an issue with a wheel bearing which was my fault but that was it.

      He mentioned that the trailer was built specially for what the operator intended it to be used for. The operator intends to use it to pull a tractor or skid steer with so this actually works out great for him. U can tell by the side walls he has no desire for hauling off large amounts of heavy debris or landscaping materials. I use mine for hauling my tractor and skid steer with and I also use mine for hauling of large and heavy tree debris so I have the tall side walls and lighter trailer for heavier hauling but that wouldn’t matter to the guy in this video because of his hauling preferences.

      I sold firewood for 28 years. It’s not physically possible. If you aren’t lying about 6’ stalked height then is 4.5 at best. 3’ tall is is under 3 and 5’ tall is under 4. Not to mention, unless you’re hauling dry pine an average cord of dry wood is 3k lbs. but you said green hardwood. Most green hardwoods are 4500-5500lbs a cord. You’re not hauling 5-1/2 cord of green oak. Not physically possible on length and weight. A 14k gvwr trailer won’t haul 14k lbs. usually between 8500-9k actual carrying capacity. Quit lying to yourself. Tossed in (or dumped in) is usually 60% of stacked volume dimensions

    Nice trailer. 2 issues.
    1. The tail lights need to be mounted high not low. Those will get busted first time you back up.
    2. Batteries on a dump trailer are crap. The only way to set a dump trailer up is to run a battery cable line to the back of your truck and mount a golf cart plug to connect the trailer to. You only need to run one cable from the truck battery, the ground wire can be mounted in the rear to the frame of the truck. For what batteries cost and a battery charger you can set it up correctly. You will never have a dead battery ever again. Plus you can raise and lower the dump to your hearts content all day long.
