If you were a young teen when this ep aired you understand how tragic of a moment this was in saved by the bell history. It felt like Kelly was breaking up with all of us, not just Zack :(

@@ShockResistor Fr I was actually confused and concerned with how the show could/would go on. When she broke up with him, it felt like this was going to be the end of the show. It’s crazy, how much impact this breakup had on so many of us, at the time.

As we now know, Zack and Kelly’s story was only just beginning. It would take time-5 seasons of this show, 1 season of College Years and a Hawaiian adventure-to culminate in one amazing finale in Las Vegas to give these two an Endgame we all had hoped for but wondered if it would happen.

This episode aired 30 years ago this week. It just recently it was announced that Zack and kelly just celebrated their 27 wedding anniversary. 27 years ago this week Saved by the Bell wedding in Las Vegas Aired on NBC where Zack and Kelly get married. Even though they broke up in this episode but its okay they eventually got back together got married and lived happily ever after.

This episode hurt my soul as a kid and it still does to this day. I was so traumatized that it was years before I could actually listen to "How Am I Supposed To Live Without You" without cringing.

This was tragic. Especially the fact that not only Kelly broke Zack’s heart, Jeff cheated on Kelly after persuing her. There were no winners in this situation.
But wasn't Jeff an adult, and Kelly a teenager, how is that even a legal relatioship.

@@TheODLawson23 wow! All these years, I thought that Ollie was played by Eddie Griffin. Such an uncanny resemblance between the two. Also, if you listen to Eddie's voice, particularly on "Chappelle's Show" as the character Grits 'n Gravy, he sounds just like Ollie.

I was 7 when this episode aired. The actor that played Jeff was in a soap opera. I went to the Philadelphia car show to meet the cast and Jeff was there. I threw a cup at him.

@@fallenscientist2073, the song was written by Bolton and another guy, but first recorded by Laura Branigan in 1982. Bolton didn’t record it himself until 1989. The version they were singing was Branigan’s.

I hated the episode after where they make it seem like zac was the bad guy for showing her how it feels for what she kept doing to him. And how everyone befriends Jeff who is like 20, and stole Zac's girlfriend who is like 16 years old.

Jeff was the most hated person in the world after this episode. If you grew up in the 90s this was a huge deal. I was never a big fan of Zach, but I felt for him. I’ll be honest I could never be friends with a woman who left me for another man.

I'm not sure if this is life imitating art, or art imitating life but Tiffani Thiessen (the actress portraying Kelly) revealed this in a Howard Stern interview: When Tiffani was 14 years old she had a 19 year old boyfriend whom she was in a relationship for 5 years. Tiffani also revealed she lost her virginity to that 19 year old boyfriend when she was 14!!! Now, I'm wondering if that episode arc with Kelly and Jeff was based on the real life Tiffani Thiessen dating a 19 year old.

One of the two most traumatizing episodes of sitcoms i ever saw as a kid, the other being the fresh prince episode when Will's father disappointed him after promising to take Will with him.

They usually played SAVED BY THE BELL episodes Saturday Mornings on NBC in the 90s then if it was Fall they'd have the Notre Dame Football Game on. Monday Morning, September 24, 2018, I had a dream that it was the morning of the Boston College at Notre Dame Game in 1993 (11/20/93). After this exact SAVED BY THE BELL episode they went to Notre Dame Stadium with Boston College Football Head Coach Tom Coughlin was on the field being interviewed by NBC saying how pumped up they were for this game that they've been up since 6 AM. Then, this song (the one in this video) played and he started to dance. From there, his BC Eagles upset #1 Notre Dame at Notre Dame Stadium extinguishing the flame from #2 Notre Dame winning over #1 FSU at Notre Dame Stadium the previous week (11/13/93).
Geez I can’t believe we are reminiscing this but it is so true saved by the bell was a great show and this episode had made me so mad at Kelly hahah
