Victorian times supposed to be too be so civilized of a tiime according to the upper crust of European and American society but as we see humans can't stop being humans no matter what historical time period it is.
It was a time of rampant sexual diseases , child labor and child prostitution, opium and morphine addictions, zero protection for the poor and the working poor, and black-and-white moralizing. The veneer of "civilization" was very thin indeed.
Was so confused hearing Brief Case, had to check 3 times that I was on the right channel 🤣 lovely to see true crimers sticking together and supporting each other 🙌
A great story about people's mental health and how you should never underestimate people. This popular actor was trying to help another fellow actor. The murderer probably had mental illness, but I think he was envious and jealous of the very person who was trying to help him. Also, he had the audacity to blame the actor for his lack of acquiring acting jobs. Great investigating of this story, as usual.
Nice to get information on such a long ago tragedy of which I never heard. I an glad his children found success. He took his failures and went on to make a great success . Too bad his murderer did not have his strength.
Such a handsome man, a sad story. But, a great narration by Brief Case! I hadn't realized he spent some time in Kentucky. Lots of detail and history, I really appreciate it. New sub for Forgotten Lives! Look forward to perusing your channel.
I've heard about him here in the US a long time ago. And that now he haunts a part of the underground subway system where he was murdered. Breezy Bill Terriss.
If you listen carefully, as people tend not to do these days, the audience was apparently told that he had "met with an accident", not that he had been killed. It would be unlikely for the theatre to announce to the house that their star had been murdered on their doorstep. Thus, it would be most common for the play to have carried on with a replacement. The audience would not have been aware that the entire cast was probably traumatized. Have a breath and a thought before jumping to judgement on others when you weren't there.
I loved that story, as tragic as it was. I'd never ever heard of Terris although I had heard of Irving. Its a shame he's not as remembered. Bless him. They say that theatre is still haunted , but I'd like to think he'll cross over, so he can either reincarnate and come back as he said he would, or be at peace. Very sad ending to his life.
Fabulous story I had never heard of just fascinating and tragic.....well done you two!! Love Forgotten Lives and Brief Case and how you collaborate and support your channels and others!! Try out Lost Case too also love him!!
W0W great video! I live in Columbus GA & we Have a Ghost of a famous 19th century Actor haunting the Springer Opera House... The Actor was Edwin Booth... brother of John Wilkes Booth
Wow what lovely pics, and what a treat to hear Brief Case :) Was this case some kind of jelouse crime? (Sorry for my spelling) Hugs to you both from Sweden
Jealousy is a malignant cancer of the soul that left UNACKNOWLEDGED grows overpowering all sense of rationality. This event is just one example, but it occurs daily in life. Some of us see it for what it is and some of us oblivious, but regardless; it is a toxic situation that can be quite dangerous!!!
What is a 'scud' pls, and WTH did Henry Irving mean by his comment? Would LOVE to know the history and careers of The Wife, the children and The Mistress...... Fantastic research, as ever. Pictures are fascinating. Great narration BC, thanks so much for the collaboration. Kindest Wishes 🙏🏼 ❤️ 🍀 🗺️ 🏴
I just subscribed to this channel...thank you..I belive in "REINCARNATION"...and I wonder...who was I in the past and if watching this videos, will bring me memories...again...thank you!.
Poor guy started on hard times but didn’t give up. If you took away the murder, this could have been an inspirational story. Also who’s here from Ghosts on the Underground?
His daughter Ellaline Terris (pronounced Ellaleen) also became a noted beaty and actress. It is said that she inspired Charles Dana Gibson to create his popular figure: The Gibson Girl. However there are several other contenders for this distinction. Ellaline Terris died 100 years old in London in 1971.
So tragic he was very talented. I do believe that William did haunt those places and the people. He wasn't reading to die. That's why he continued to go to the theater and haunt his lover. It's said that if your life is taken abruptly where you were at the moment you will haunt that place and those people associated with you.
What a great story, and funny to know the cooperation with briefcase, and crime reel and mortis the only thing I was very surprised, is "the lion king" a hole century back in time? I thought it was written in 1994. And not in 1894😂

There is still not a whole lot we can do for mental illness it's really unfortunate. My dad was a scientist who did research related to schizophrenia for years but the meds to treat it are still hard for people to take. They have bad side effects.
Thanks for having me Forgotten Lives!
Thank you Brief Case. Awesome narration as ever!
Two of my favorite channels. Thanks to both of you for having such great content.
Great job BC and FL
I love your voice so much Brief Case!
I love your videos along with Crime reel and forgotten lives.
I believe the real motive here was jealousy, one of the oldest motives on the books. Thank you for sharing this story.
I recognised BC'S voice immediately and thought I had clicked on the other one by accident until I double checked. Keep it up guys.
Same here.
Thanks :D
Same with me
Really loved this one, such a tragic loss of life
Oooh hi, I love your videos too!
Yea sure is interesting. 😇
I feel really sad when hearing about him but the reality now is he'd have died anyway had he not been murdered would be least 120 now lol

Excellent presentation, @Forgotten Lives! And a big thanks to @Brief Case !
I've heard about him here in the US a long time ago. And that now he haunts a part of the underground subway system where he was murdered. Breezy Bill Terriss.
Great story , the audience of the Theatre didn't seem to feel any empathy for the deceased, they only wanted a replacement.
Right?? How famous was he?
They wanted to see that play, more than anything.

The man was stabbed 3 times! Why did they use ice for the wounds?! I realize that they weren't doctors. But, did no one think to apply pressure?
Cold stops bleeding.

This story was on the Infamous Murders episode Victims of Jealousy.
Thank you ! 🦊🐇
The soul of William Terriss was not ready to cross over to the other side ....
It's sad a friend lost his mind thinking to kill Terriss would help him
Strange how some people try all sorts of careers before before finding their true vocation.
