Every time you got to the top of climbing the latter your screen would go dark around the edges, im guessing that's the game putting stress on you ,climbing with that wound ,so your correct it's looking like actions such as climbing and chopping are making the wound healing longer ,that's actually pretty good most games don't have that ,you either heal fully or die ,some half heal .
