Critcize is not the same as calling for the dismantling. If I were anti-Pakistanist or something, would you still say I have nothing against Pakistani people?
@@amiramaz people are calling for the dismantling of an apartied state, if Israeli governments gave other people in Israel/ Palestine equal rights and decent humane treatment they probably wouldn't have this problem. They are against Zionism because of its horrible impact on other people, not to mention its also making Jews all over the world less safe. But despite all that Israel is still the most dangerous place for Jews and always will be.
Well, it was a great business model so far, I just can see it working very much longer - seems everybody is a bit over the hypocrisy once they watched the slaughter of the Palestinians, who do, after all, have a right to defend themselves.
From a human perspective, one of the most troubling aspects of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict is Israel’s continued expansion through settlements, its refusal to accept the United Nations’ two-state solution, and its occupation of Palestinian land to displace Palestinians. This expansionism undermines efforts toward peace, stability, and justice in the region. The practice of establishing settlements in the West Bank, considered illegal under international law, exacerbates tensions and blocks progress toward a fair resolution for both Israelis and Palestinians. Although Semitism refers to the linguistic and cultural heritage shared by many peoples, including Arabs and Jews, Zionism-particularly in its modern form-focuses on Jewish nationalism and the establishment of a Jewish homeland in Israel. However, leaders like Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu often blur the distinction between the two, using the historical weight of anti-Semitism to frame any criticism of Israeli policies-particularly concerning the occupation of Palestinian territories-as inherently anti-Semitic. This tactic serves to silence opposition and conflate Jewish identity with Israeli nationalism, a dangerous conflation that obscures legitimate criticisms of Israeli government actions, such as military occupation and settlement expansion. What is most concerning is that in the 21st century, political manipulation involving xenophobic rhetoric or religious-nationalist expansionism should be universally unacceptable. True believers in democracy and international cooperation base their relationships on mutual respect, empathy, and diplomacy, not on a posture of dominance or exclusion. Netanyahu’s policies, particularly regarding settlement expansion and the continued blockade of Gaza, are often supported by U.S. military aid and political backing, which further enables these actions and alienates large portions of the international community. These actions starkly contrast with democratic principles, which emphasize dialogue, legal frameworks, and respect for international agreements. The United Nations’ two-state solution, which envisions an independent Palestinian state alongside Israel, has long been the consensus among international bodies as the path to peace. However, Israel’s continued settlement activities undermine this vision, perpetuating a cycle of violence and resistance. In real life, this political reality creates a situation in which Palestinians are systematically disenfranchised, and their hopes for self-determination are repeatedly dashed. This long-standing struggle for land, identity, and sovereignty has fueled ongoing conflicts, with devastating humanitarian consequences for Palestinian civilians-who live under occupation, in refugee camps, or in dire conditions in Gaza. In sum, the issue is not only about land but also about political manipulation, where Netanyahu’s strategy capitalizes on nationalist sentiments, confusing critiques of his policies with broader attacks on Jewish identity. This makes the challenge of finding a peaceful solution even more difficult, as any dialogue critical of Israeli policies is immediately shut down as anti-Semitic. To move forward, global democratic principles must insist on solutions based on justice, respect for international law, and human dignity for all, without enabling nationalist rhetoric that seeks to maintain control through fear and xenophobia. One has to ask: Does Netanyahu really want to repeat in modern human society what Hitler did to the Jews?

Your introduction on Anti-Zionism fails to mention several things: Jews in Europe going back to the late 19th Century were always divided on Zionism, and many opposed the idea of Israel in the early 20th century in the UK. Also, your mentions of the [partial] motives for creating Israel included the presence of antisemitism in Europe -- yet you fail to mention the primary motives for the creation of Israel which was the British will to retain the colony of Palestine and use every trick in the book to retain control of it - indeed, making a deal with Zionists (The Sykes Picot accords) was a way to carve out the Near East to better access its resources and control the region - the US later used this acquisition to its own advantage and continues to keep Israel alive artificially through the pumping of billions upon billions in weapons and aid in order to maintain the state of Israel. In this light, all the discussions about ethnicity and Judaism seem a bit like a misdirection. Clearly Israel exists more for military and financial interests of the West than it does for Jewish identity. Failing to present the perspective of the UK/US manipulations is deceiving the audience into focusing on what are ultimately secondary problems -- none of which would matter if US support and money went away.
