• Dirty Loops - Breakdown
I know many say they are the future, but I can honestly tell you, they are just going back and playing music that we lost long ago. They have found the past and brought it into the future. So glad for that. I’ve missed it.
Johnas piano rifs are insane. They go from melodic to crazy but always end up in the song. The voice, wild drums and filthy bas somehow always come together.
Out of this world..
quincy jones is a very intelligent guy , he know Dirty Loop is the future...
They are definitely the future!
As always old Quincy finds the very best anywhere in the world, the music industry should be much more accrediting to his work, theres only one Dirty Loops and we all owe Quincy for working to produce work like this its remarkable
Real musicians making real music...❤
5:22 Jonah hit us with that quadruple stank face!
Absolutely amazing and emotional reaction on this great song by Dirty Loops !
And You are a good keyboardplayer yourself !!!!
Regs from Dirty Loops land - Sweden/Kent
Thank you for commenting! I appreciate it
Love your dirty loops reactions Mr Donald, love them as F...
They’re straight up the best.
Bro says "I'm no great musician", then pulls out some LUSH gospel chops on the keys with a killer voice, I'd buy your album my friend! Great reaction
Exactly what I was thinking… ❤
I think he himself, has mentioned Stevie Wonder and Michael Jackson. They're also influenced by Toto... 😁 💖 🙏
Definitely.. thank you for commenting
Talked to the singer after one of their gig and I asked him exactly about stevie wonder and Jackson, he did say they are a huge part of his influence indeed ;)
Drums, keyboards and even the melody definitely influenced by TOTO. Sound like a power ballad by Lukather without guitar solo.
I'm with u on the Toto thingy!!
Their Forever Young cover is a good song to see their inspirations in. Toto especially.
Dude you have a great voice also
Enjoyed your reaction! New subscriber!🙋
This song also has a bit of SEAL feel besides those vocal inspirations you mentioned... Jonah is next level (along with Henrik and Aron) by being able to also be a virtuoso keyboard player to go with such a sick voice that Quincy called one of the best ranges he's ever heard, as he SIGNED THEM!
Another great song and your reaction was a delight to watch.
Know that Jonah has that church choir background and sensibility: he sang at 1 year's old in his parent's church!
I'm 72 and have followed fusion jazz since my introduction with weather report in the mid 70s ..this is at the pinnacle of the jazz of today of course you've seen by now who's producing this
What a amazing track again!!!
Yup. Channeling Michael, but check out their older covers such as "Circus" to hear how he developed his vocal style. It's Jonah!!
The beautiful part is that he plays the piano well and sing well as well which is incredible... Bro is not easy to think of what you're singing and what you're playing like its not easy to listen to yourself do both
I know Jonah is in to both MJ and Stewie W. He is also a classical trained piano-player,and I think he is in to jazz. and do you know that Quincy has signed the to his recordlabel! Theese guys are fantastic!
I am in on the boat with you! Subbbed!
I was thinking Stevie Wonder. Also because of his head movements in the start.
✅
Yup, yup, yup. He's got Stevie's head movements. You'll also see that in the Next to You vid
I'm thinking Jonah's definitely got some Michael Jackson influence going on... He uses "feed my desire" in this song while MJ used "Quench my desire" in "Give into me".
And I'm not sure if you caught it or not but the intro to "World on Fire" (the keyboard bassline) is a musical quote from the intro of "Dirty Diana" by MJ as well.
These guys are freakin' cooking man! Great reaction btw, thanks.
His toooone reminds me of MJ for sure but his ruuuuuns… sound so Stevie wonderish 😍 And they all are so unbelievably skilled so they can mix different genres at any time. Bahahaha!
Kinda Brian McKnight meets Toto, which is a wonderful thing. As usual, Dirty Loops can do no wrong.
I'd say Jonah is very inspired by Michael Jackson vocal wise, and very classical (chopin, liszt) trained on piano.
If you get the chance in the future you have to let everything aside and see them live.
As one alredy has said their influences are quite different and that makes them "Dirty".
I feel also that I need to practice, but then again I need to be locked up for several years to get to half of that so..... 💯
Michael Jackson is the influence. Check Jonah doing 'Coffee Break' with horns and Richard Bona tearing up the bass.
He even makes a reference in the lyrics to a Michael Jackson tune.
You'll pick it up.
Great reaction video, yes I can definitely hear some michael jackson and stevie wonder in his voice!
If u asking me...Jonas voice is his own if u asking me! ;)
Jonah sounds like Stevie more than anyone to me. But there's also MJ and Brian McKnight. Sometimes he reminds me of Stokley from Mint Condition and Babyface. He got a lot of brothas in his throat lol
You should break down Breakdown. It would be totally meta.
YOU ARE AMAZING
"Jonah" (with his real name Jonas being to hard for general Americans to "get") have many tunes with clear styles interjections and recurring theme ousing the stye of Pat Metheny/Lyle Mays.. ..the synth section in this melody with "soft brass" section was a typical such ..an other song Dirty Loops made features an overall über heavy Metheny/Mays leaning style in their rendering of the Alphaville cover "Forever Young".. ..though nothing new for "music nerds" to be heavily into textural complex chords/progressions as Metheny/Mays (and Jonas-"Jonah")..
Stevie Wonder for sure. I believe Jonah listed him as one of his influences.
Clearly he has been influenced by Michael and Stevie Wonder. But, I’ve never heard anyone mention how much he sounds like Stokley from Mint Condition. And this song reminds me of a Mint Condition song....check it. 😉
You're the only other person that mentioned Stokley! I thought I was the only one!
@@Mystichealer369 Nope! 😂
💖🙏💖
Ay bruh I’m hearing MJ, Stevie AND The Weeknd in this track man. These boys got some and I been sleep on them fo sho
You nailed his inspirations.
like a james bond theme on the end
Nice reaction, but you really need another screen capture program or computer. The frame rate was like 10 FPS, and it was hard to watch. Your own video was fine though.
Hmm, absolute spitzenklaße to you mr!
Aww
Michael Jackson mixed with Stevie Wonder and Stokely
Great commentary! Now excuse me while I slap that subscribe button....
Great reaction... and u are not a musician, are u kiddin'? 😁😁😁
Musical journey....😁
Jonah sounds like he has a lot of Brian McKnight influence.
This songs reminds me of "give in to me" by Michael Jackson
Michael for sure...all day long...
That’s my uncle
Michael Jackson and Stevie I hear but this is All Jonah I’m sure he doesn’t set out to sound like MJ and Stevie it’s just natural but it’s Awesomeness (“ PeaceLove&GodBless
Them endings are intentionally they leave you wanting More……
stumbled upon this and i normally dismiss reaction stuff but i was struck by your ability to articulate musically AND play the piano rather than just pounding on it like a broken vending machine hoping for a diet coke
we need more folk like you and less of ...well now ... do i want to get cancelled ?... dare i insult a vacuous egomaniac?
also totally aware that by commenting without going into detail and thinking you would read this ...yeah ...i know
but i was truly refreshed by your reaction and in my defence i have no filter
I'll get my coat
Jaw drop!
Jonah is clearly influenced by the two Michaels, Sembello and Michael.
Without a doubt. STEVIE
Face melt? Nah...soul melt!
Definitely a Michael Jackson influence. If you listen, picture Michael singing it.
I think MJ and Stevie Wonder is a good guess. Probably no coincidence big Q signed these guys. :) Don't hear a lot of Prince though.
This is my first time on your channel. Thank goodness I have heard the song. Good grief. Let people listen.you can't hear it either if you are talking through it. Especially if they haven't heard the music. Just to let you know from the listeners side....I'm going to listen to the music only...bye
Good thing I left the original video below so people can hear that. I guess that's why they call it reaction video. I'm reacting for the first time to song. Thank you
Pleas react to bent knee- holy ghost & scardust- concrete cages
IMO his inspiration is a young Stevie Wonder, . . . and for sure Michael Jackson.
Michael Jackson
Dude review Dirty Loops - Work shit out! Incredible...
More Stevie than MJ imho.
The singer is Johan Nilsson (not Jonah). He's got a unique and very Michael Jackson-ish voice. Love it.
Sorry Robert, his first name IS Jonah.
You are super cute
I understand the stops but too many is annoying.🤣🤣🤣
"I'm no great musician" and then just plays the song just like that! 😳🖕😉😉
