Freizeitpark Plohn - Park Video 2018 - A journey through Plohn

After the fall of the wall Arnfried Völkel became unemployed and built 1991 a trout farm in Plohn (municipality Lengenfeld). In 1996 he opened a small fairytale forest with twelve fairy tales by the Brothers Grimm in the vicinity of the restaurant. The park developed steadily in the following years. With the wooden roller coaster El Toro, a large white water course and the currently under construction Big Dipper roller coaster "Dynamite" (opening 2019) some large investments were made. There are currently 5 roller coasters in the park. In addition to the white water rink, there is also a rafting facility, which provides refreshment on hot days.
The theme park Plohn is a beautiful theme park with lots of greenery. The wooden roller coaster "El Torro" is one of the best wooden roller coasters in Germany. The course received both the FKF and the Parkscout Award. In 2017, Deutsche Bahn was voted number 33 in the world among wooden roller coasters at the Theme Park Review Awards, making it the best wooden roller coaster in Germany.
