Crisis in infinite earth is not Smallville, it's a different earth. Many Smallville fans have this as fancanon. Because all those 10 seasons of responsibility and acceptance of fate and he lets his powers go just like that? It's BS. Jor-El would never let him do this.

It's a nice callback to John Byrne's 1986 re-booting mini-series Man of Steel. Everybody remembered movie Clark not being on the team, hiding his abilities and being humiliated by Brad, so Byrne flipped that. Clark was too good on the team, making them unbeatable, until Jonathon had a talk to him about getting a little maturity and understanding why rubbing people's faces in their inferiority wasn't where it was at. Oh, and also, let's go look at the spaceship that brought you here.
How did Smallville High School get Old Spice as its sponsor and put the sign on the scoreboard? The only time I've ever seen major companies advertising sporting events is college and pro level.

I never saw this TV show when it came out in television, yet, when I see these clips it still feels like nostalgia taking over for some reason.
I got into Smallville the same way. I found the series on Hulu and I’m hooked. Definitely worth the watch!
