Thank you - a very different kind of story, and a very different kind of ghost story! The ending is peaceful and simple. Friends living together isn't a bad thing. Nor is leaving questions unanswered - life doesn't give us all the answers we'd like.
Interesting story right up to the end. It amounted to "OK we are done now, bye bye." No closure at all. The ideal ending would have been him finding out who killed her thus letting her move on or something like that.
Who said she was killed? Maybe the unfinished business was to have experience what is to be being part of a family... he adopted her, he made her part of his life, he made her his family. That's how I see it.

I thought the same thing. It seemed the obvious direction of the plot. I'm a tad disappointed.

They had a relationship together and she decided to pass with him. Women are allowed to choose for themselves.
