I don't get the usefulness of the switch stick. They put way too many restrictions on it for it to be truly useful. If you Blitz or once the ball is in the air it does not work. So using it effectively still requires you to either get lucky or know where your opponent is going to throw it. I guess it works okay if your opponent relies to heavily on his wr1 or is spamming the same route over and over

I do not understand the comment that picking another player after the ball Is snapped is new. Am I missing some additional feature or was that sarcasm? I've always switched to the DB to pick off a deep pass for example.
He’s just saying that now instead of pressing B or circle to switch , you can use the “switch stick “ in coverage to swift h quickly to other defenders . Press the right stick in the direction of which player you wanna switch to instead of pressing B or Circle . Note: you can only use switch stick to switch to LBs, CBs and safeties . If you’re usering a D-lineman and you want to switch to a LB or CB in coverage you have to press B or circle. The switch stick only works if you’re usering someone who is in coverage
@@iamadam_thegoatusing B or circle is still more reliable to do the same thing. The R stick could put you on any number of WRs that are on that side of its trips or bunch for example. Using the traditional way is always going to put you on the DB being targeted. It's not worth the confusion and guess game
I think the difference is you can control to/point to who you want to switch to with switch stick. So you see a route opening up in your periph you can switch to a player on that side of the field to make a play BEFORE the QB throws. Using B always switches to the player closest to the ball. As others noted you can't use it on Dline bc right stick is you lineman moves but I believe there's a button you can hold to override if on the line. So yes you can still press B once the ball is in the air to manually defend, but this is more about seeing a gap in the defense and proactively filling it.
If you’re in man , you wanna make sure and shade your CBs. Usually I shade them inside if the cpu or who ever im playing has less than 10 yards for a 1st. It depends on which hash mark they’re on. If the wide side of the field is open then I shade them outside in the direction of where the open space is. Also, pressing is not worth it in this game right now. Even if your CB is fast, the WRs get a little animation which gives them enough space to get separation and then your players will take a bad angle and get beat for extra yards . It’s best to keep your CBs between press and cushion. You’ll have to manually switch to your CBs quickly presnap and move them in position . Move them a little off the CB but not too much.
