i took everything off to put a new tail tidy. It's been more than an year now and another few weeks we have rain. I need to reinstall it back and man it's so complicated that it's gonna take years for me to put everything back. 😂 instead of reinstalling everything back, i rode with tail tidy through out the rainly season last year. it was absolutely idiotic fun. 😂 don't wanna repeat that this year.

Lol 😂😂😂 With this tail itself there is so much muck... God I can imagine.... a tail tidy will be a nightmare in wet weather.

I've done same thing on my R15 v3. But after removing that wide part the fender part become so flexible that it was dancing on even the slightest bump. I figured out that instead of removing it fully I've to cut the extended wide part and keep the middle part for reinforcement.

Ohhh okay.... Got it. Actually the tail section on the R3 is quite hard and I tie my tail bag strap around it. I can support some weight. Surprised that they gave such a flexible fender on R15. Cheers man. Thanks for sharing this 😎👍

a tyre hugger should minimize some muck getting on the back, shouldn't it

Yes absolutely. And this piece works well too. Not a big fan of tyre hugger too. I'm removing it only because of looks.
