Starter doesn't want inquiry as it will show that Labour, Starmer, Labour MP's, Labour Councillors, Labour Police Commissioners will be held to account for their inability to act and their actions to sweep under the carpet that it was Pakistani Gangs
Grooming was all under a Tory government they has a enquirery then did nothing . The Torys are complaining about their own actions all the time , i , no wonder they did not make any effort to win the Election .
It's because an enquiry would prevent them from taking action on the findings of the previous enquiry, something they have already begun doing. We literally had a 7 year enquiry finish in 2022 and the Tories did FA with it. (This is the enquiry that Labour are acting on right now) Victim groups have already stated in no uncertain terms that another enquiry would be performative and actually delay justice for historic victims as well as prevent protection for potential future victims.
Conservatives refused another inquiry your boris johnson said its a waste of money Obviously reality is not important to you except if your a foreign oddball like musk
@@krushjones6596 I think that "vile" suits the likes of Badenoch and Jenrick much better than Starmer. Jumping on the Musk bandwagon has to be the vilest act of any of these chancers.
Labour will seize upon any excuse not to have its failings in the way it ran many councils and police and crime commissions in most of the areas where these horrors took place subject to a full, public inquiry. Neither will they wish to risk alienating substantial parts of the electorate in their many very marginal parliamentary seats. Why cannot this bill be passed and an inquiry held too? Labour has no answer to that question other than mendacity and obfuscation. Starmer and his government do not give off a very good odour.
What national inquiry has there been? Only an enquiry into *institutional* abuse, not criminal gangs of men from Pakistan. That community must needs be grilled & take action or it's all pointless! Also it's not JUST about minors, but VULNERABLE women & girls. Those with developmental issues, ex care girls & those with parents in jail or deceased. Those who grew up around domestic violence et⁸c
When slimy Starmer was in charge of C.P.S. knowing of the seriousness of these grooming gangs he did nothing to stop it, took absolutely no action against anyone, reason, there was top police officers, local councillors, many local officials were all involved in this tragedy, hence they are all draging their feet on the May recommendations now three years old and no real actions taken, definitely smells of a cover up from top to bottom. R.
They're literally acting on the findings of the last enquiry rather than calling an utterly pointless and performative new enquiry to delay things as was the habit of the tories.
Reform is the only way to stop them all arguing about the last 14 years like children. "Can we have an enquiry?" "You didnt want an enquiry 4 years ago" etc etc etc Safety of our children and loved ones comes before your rich little egos. So out of touch
@kingflynxi9420 Yes there is a scandal. The enquires did not encompass the whole of the UK. Only a few towns. Labour do not wants to upset their Muslim voters. Are you telling me that given the size of London there are no grooming gangs. PLEASE. PS I didn't vote Tory and I most defiantly didn't vote Reform I voted Labour.
As far as I am aware, the Muslim community are not allowed to vote for infidels, supporting à system that is alien to their Sharis Law. I had a friend who was a Labour who lived around the Brick Lane community in London and was always saddened that the community refused to vote Labour or any other party. This is the same where I live in France. We have à very right wing Mayor in our city even though we have a very large Islamic community, but likewise, they don't vote even for a party to be more sympathetic to their needs.
After 20 years, it seems everyone on here's an expert on the details of this case. The level of sanctimonious posturing, ignorance and political opportunism is sickening. I suggest you all watch the interview with Times journalist Andrew Norfolk, who was instrumental in bringing the whole sordid story to the public from the very beginning, on today's episode of "The News Agents". And maybe THEN you could spare a thought for the girls.
In before the bots just to say, there is no scandal. The enquiries were held by the conservative government and the same conservative government failed to implement the recommendations of the same enquiry.
That inquiry did not focus on this specific issue. In fact, it gave it little more than a passing reference. @anonnemo2504 The bill won't pass if conservatives keep delaying. Further inquiries will cause more delays when there are implementations RIGHT NOW in parliament. The conservatives have a shameful history of using scandals and enquiries to win political points and the media is complicit in helping them. Why isn't the media highlighting the fact that the conservatives failed to act until now, when it's politically convenient?
@@kingflynxi9420 Two problems (Tory and Labour politicians, for example) can always co-exist. If there was a will to do so, parliament could pass this bill AND approve a full, public inquiry. Starmer, as usual, is Iying and obfuscating.
