Wow. What a ballpark. Thanks for sharing. My local A park, Lake County Captains was thought of as a great for A ball when built, but has dated itself a bit.(its still a nice ball park) This place is on a whole other level.

I went to a convention in downtown Ft. Wayne years ago, and saw this field from the outside. Don't know why I haven't taken the opportunity to go there for a game. The StL Cardinals and their affiliates are closer for me, I guess, but I still travel to Detroit a lot, so this is along the route.
You should try South Bend, too, if you haven't already. The city is trying to reinvent its downtown, with a lot of the former Studebaker plant facilities getting removed and new construction going up. The ball park is in that area of renewal.
I would definitely recommend catching a game if you are ever back in Fort Wayne, but it is still cool that you got to see it from the outside! The exterior of Parkview Field is lovely.
I will definitely check out a South Bend Cubs game someday, probably sooner than later as it is only a few hours away from me! That is great for South Bend that they are having a revitalization.

I’m from eastern Michigan now living in Fort Wayne, and you hit the nail on the head, park view is the arguably the best high a ball park in the country.
