Glad you got it fixed! I know what you mean about smells. Sent my Daughter an old shirt worn by my Grandson, when he was a baby, to be given to my Great Grand son to wear. She stated it smelled like my house, which due to Covid she hasn’t been able to visit from out of state. And the smell made her cry. Good to see new videos! ❤️
Cracking up at the cheese saga and the awkwardness of buying something, as it was a small shop! 🤣 Beautiful scenery!! Love UK… my favourite place on earth; really looking forward to all the van travels there!!
Stunning scenery vlogged so well. You guys capture the moments with a great sense of humor. The van back on the road brings you back to good karma. Love you guys'
You two!!! What are you like! Emma, so happy and content and giggly all the time, Alex, smiling even when you're annoyed! 😂 so refreshing 💜 P.S. After traveling all that way, why didn't you buy some plain biscuits to go with the rather delicious looking cheese!?🤣🤣🤣💜💜💜
You are the happiest person in the world when you laugh. Makes me happy as well. We went to Bournemouth in the hottest July days, not far from old Harry.
So glad it was just the linkage bushes! I mentioned that as soon as you guys said he sorted it with cable ties, since then mine have gone on my T4 too 😂 love how you guys are together. Really wish one day I will be there too ❤️ very sweet guys
We went to Bridport, and Westbay when we were in that area. Did laundry, and got ready meals we ate at the air bnb which was sooo cool a converted old bakery. The beaches were amazing. We got a hamburger in Westbay that was for sure sausage of some kind. Alex would have loved it. lol
Great video as always, you two crack me up! 🤣 honestly your a great couple and it really comes across ......soppy moment over! Safe travels in the lovely t4 🤙
Aw 🥰 that's great to hear! We love variety when it comes to travel.. so we are so grateful to have our lovely old van to help us explore the beautiful UK when we're here 💛
Hello, I would just like to say a huge well done on returning to U.K camper holidays. Love Dorset and you should have tried Corfe Castle due to their cream teas… happy memories of slicing a scone into three, not two and applying oodles of cream and strawberry jam to each slice whilst watching a steam train pass by below - magnificent views too. Keep up the U.K. trips please….
This past weekend!!! We drove a ridiculous distance to see some stuff that was closed, even though the websites said they were open... And this same rule also applied to EVERY SINGLE place we tried to eat lunch at, because I don't know if you know, but Sunday's in the Southeast US, most stuff (if it's even open) closes as soon as the church crowd finishes lunch. Unfortunately, we spent so much time driving in literal circles to places that were closed, we missed the lunch window for every place we wanted to eat at. I feel your pain. 😂
If you guy's are going to Norway and Finland, please do all the services in Poland before you leave! Change engine oil and filter, transmission oil, timing belt and water pump change (its cheap) check the dust covers of the driveshafts, and remember to grease the bearings if you do not have any noise yet.. And if the brakes are about to need a change, do that in Poland also.. Then you will have a worry free vacation 💪
And a last thing you can do, it's a preventative thing to put a diesel additive in the fuel tank.. Take a bottle and put it in the tank, fill it full and way you go...
I live a few miles away from St Ives in Cornwall. Yes - it’s hell in Summer, but go before 8am and it’s so quiet. It’s a joy just to wander around watching the business getting ready for the day. In that sense it seems almost Mediterranean.
Hi Travel Beans - greetings from Australia. Glad your van did not become a “has bean”! Your experience reminded me of my first car, a Mercedes 170 (pictured). In the 1960’s I drove from Melbourne to Jindabyne via the back roads and broke a rod at the back of the gearbox (we treated the Merc like a Land Rover). I had no reverse and had to crash all gears for about 570km back to Melbourne. Enjoyed your van conversion videos.

Hello, as you said, your in Thailand one day then back home in England?? I can't begin to wrap my head around all the traveling, crossing borders, customs, passport and all!!!!. I just love your experiences of your travels.. abroad... be safe and healthy 🙏 enjoy your adventures.💙
You had a narrow escape with not having any Dorset Knobs. They are SO HARD you could build a footbridge to Old Harry with them. We tried them once, and left one out deliberately to see if it would get softer as it went stale. It didn’t. It just got harder. (LOL) Just NO. Beautiful beaches? You need to come down to Cornwall, never mind Dorset. Kynance Cove at low tide. Gwithian Towans - 3 miles of golden sand….. Kettle’s on - see you when you get here!
Oh - and “When You Scan We Can” - National Trust members scan their membership card to get free parking all day - the place where you scanned it get a portion of your monthly membership fee to help fund and preserve that place. Membership for a couple is £10 a month , and considering it costs about £8 to park all day at some places it’s well worth it. No, I don’t work for them 🤣 but yes we have a membership. 🤪👍🏻
I knew that was what it would be with the gearbox, work for VW and we used to do them regular when these were the current model. We call them pickled onions because thats what the bush ball joints look like. Glad it was an easy fix
Hi, Really pleased to see this channel. Love the humour and the innuendo and plus all the informative stuff too. looking forward to watching more of your stuff.
Highly recommend Wales. The green bridge in Pembrokeshire is quite similar to this. Also a very curious seal is living near Worm's Head (Rhossili Bay) at the moment.
We LOVE LOVE LOVE Wales! We've only been on a short trip to Pembrokeshire so would love to visit again.. and the curious seal sounds like a new friend we didn't know we needed! 🤩💛
I was kinda buzzed to see you guys nibbling on a Dorset nob with stinky moldy cheese :-p But a crusty delicacy cracking between Alex's teeth while his face clearly signals to be in heaven... will do. I also loved Emma knocking on a Durtle door which was already open :-)
I had to laugh at the blue cheese bit. As a kid I remember my Grandfather loved blue cheese and used to have some every day. Most of my time spent with him and Nanna was camping with them in their little 12 foot caravan. Yep that blue cheese definitely used to smell the van out. I always teased him that it smelt like rotten socks. It looks like a lovely bit of the countryside. One day when we can go overseas again, and get safely back into Australia, hopefully hubby and I can get to see it ourselves.
Good to see you back home in such fine form Beans. I’ve never been to Dorset so you give me some ideas so maybe a weekend break. Emma, you have got such a filthy laugh!
So glad it was after all an easy fix for the van. About "getting out of my way to get something and ending in bitter disappointment", I once drove 2 hours to the Orval Abbay to get some of their famous trappist beer, hard to find in any store, but once there I found out the bloody monks were sold out! I ended up with a loaf of "homemade bread" that was hard as a rock instead
Drove from Fort William to Mallaig to get the ferry to the Isle of Skye only to be told the next ferry wasn’t for 6 hrs. Turned around and drove all the way back to go onto Skye by the bridge. Still lovely scenery. Would still recommend. Us Canadians were just pressed for time.
A classic Beans vlog, not sure if it’s down to the editing or you were just relaxed and enjoying yourselves, maybe there were no sponsors involved so you didn’t have to try too hard. Whatever the circumstances it’s one best in a while, loved it.
Pigs r great! Had them as pets as a kid, but traveling with one??? Love ur videos! God bless! I laugh more at ur videos than any others! Keep up ur great work!!
Alex's comments about the Dorset Knobs had me laughing once again! You two are just too much! 😅. Even though Thailand is my favorite place, the UK is beautiful too!
Last year on my birthday we drove 8 hours to Rakotzbrücke in South-East Germany to discover the lake had been drained of water and the bridge covered in scaffolding. 🙈 The take away from that was, don't trust Google maps when it says "open" ! Double check!!
Watching this I was wondering how early you got there. Amazing the difference a couple of hours and a bit of inclement weather makes! I noticed you passing the massive queues as you drove from Corfe to Studland. You missed the best beach too at Shell Bay. Other places you may have missed… Spread Eagle Hill is worth a stop if you’re driving through Dorset.
We arrived just after 8am.. perhaps around 8.15 We spent about an hour at Durdle door before walking across to Lulworth cove. Thanks for the recommendations for our next trip down that way! Very useful! 👍
I love how you just laugh at each other and with each other so lovely to see, my biggest let down was probably lands end, very Meh and they wanted £10-95 to have a picture taken at the sign post after paying £7 to park the car
Yes it's a peregrine falcon alright,we had them nesting at the top of the local church in inner city Bristol this year would you believe! Swam through Durdle Door with a friend to celebrate my 50th birthday 5 years ago..harder than you'd think and I'm a strong swimmer
I see you get the old fella falling over on the beach!! Very nicely done Alex! and Talking of world famous you came to my home town and had the WORLD FAMOUS ellys pork pie! because i would agree tastes like the contents of a hamster cage! We are Emma & Steve on our channel and we love yours!!
Loved this vlog, classic beans content not giving a shit how the companies getting free promotion will feel. Cheesy knobs and old men falling over classic! Also loved the UK beach description so true 😂
we have just finished a 5 week tour round Cornwall and then Scotland (Glasgow, Skye, NC500 and then Edinburgh ) our disappointing mission, was 1h 45min to go and see Tintagel, only to find you had to book in advance, so we went and found a walk so we could at lest see it, to then see that we were actually glad that we hadn't payed to go over, as there is nothing there apart from 1000 steps, which isnt the best for me with lung disease 😂
Sometimes things really do work out for the best. We went to an Indian burial mound that was closed. We walked down a path and there was another tourist there who said that the path gave better views of the thing than if we had entered the site. Love it when it works out
Oh no!!! Heartbreaking! We also visited there only to find out the castle was closed for renovations! 🤦♀️ it's a beautiful area though 💛 sounds like you had a pretty amazing trip, going to all those places!
@@hulahickey6959 we had similar at Stonehenge, went down the road between the henge and the visitors centre, found a footpath round the side, asked the security guard how much closer we got if we payed, he said the path he was on, so about 8 foot 😂
@@TravelBeans yes it is a fabulous area to walk round, and you can walk for free all along the coast, only bit you cant do it walk over the bridge to the island 🤷♀️ it was an amazing trip, got a quick trip to York planned, then back to having to be at home for the kids and school, just looking forward to the next school holiday to get away again :)
Yes Alex thats a peregrine Falcon. Also though, being a Weston boy, top of Clifton gorge there’s always peregrines up there you can watch from the top….near Cabot tower side I think……?
There were also nesting peregrines at Friars Reach development right in the centre of Bristol by Castle Park. The sea gulls were giving the young hell though!
Guys, we live in Somerset, 2 miles from the border! Hit us up next time and we will show you around with our sprinter too :-) would love to show you both what our county and Dorset has to offer
🤣 haha so glad you enjoyed it! And I feel your pain with the fish and chips.. on the whole drive there you would have been looking forward to it too! So sad! 🤦♀️
Popular for walking ,boating and water activities....you for forgot the miles and miles of rock climbing! and on some routes you can even see the exposed fossils whilts hanging off your finger tips
Glad to see you back on the road again 😁 Looks like Dorset/Devon etc are full to bursting!! Great vlog.....sorry about your lack of biscuits though!!🤣🤣
"As well as the activities on offer, if you are lucky, you might even spot some of the local wildlife before you leave." (View of older English bather falling over backwards in the water) 🤣 There is no doubt who edited this footage... none, whatsoever.
Peregrines! There is a pair of breeding peregrines at Corfe Castle, I read an article about them. Now, as for Old Harry, King Henry the Vlll was sometimes called Harry. He was also referred to as Satan or the devil because of his evil ways. Also, there is a portrait of Henry and when you hang it upside down, it looks like the devil. Oh, that was hilarious with the whole knob situation, you two are so funny. You are going to grow old very well together. And, I will say it again for you, DURDLE!
Haha DURDLE!! Thank you Adele 🥰 we are very lucky beans indeed Love your knowledge on the Old Harry theories! Love learning random little facts like that when you travel 😁

"As well as the activities on offer, if you are lucky, you might even spot some of the local wildlife before you leave."
(View of older English bather falling over backwards in the water) 🤣
There is no doubt who edited this footage... none, whatsoever.
I'm just going to campaign to get you guys to Costa Rica and have Alex freak out when he sees our birds.
Oh my goodness.. he would FREAK OUT! 😂💛 that would be a dream! One day we'll make it over to that part of the world! 🙏
I’m pleased you don’t have a cheesey knob. You missed the Smugglers pub. With its outdoor BBQ, amazing!! It’s Osmington Mills area.
Thank you Adele 🥰 we are very lucky beans indeed
Love your knowledge on the Old Harry theories! Love learning random little facts like that when you travel 😁
