    I’ve been dressmaking for more than 50 years. My passion. I always tell my students to purchase a pair of electric shears. Pink Power are great. I find cutting is much more accurate and saves time.

    Ty sooo much. At the end of this video, on that purple dress on the right, will you be doing a tutorial for it?

      The purple dress is the exact same dress!

    I am interested to know what interfacing you used to enhance the drape of the bodice front. Thanks!

    Hi there, I love your videos! I made a top for myself and the armholes are too tight! Any suggestions are appreciated. Thank you,

      Sure. Make a fit sample and plot out your own custom armhole before you add sleeves or sew in the fashion fabric.

    Can you add sleeves to this. Love the pattern but I need sleeves

      Yes you can. I wont be able to type out the info here, but I teach that in my FB live classes at the Designer Joi Mahon FB page

    Do you ever stitch the side dart down? You sewed on either side but did you put it in the side seam?

    • @designerjoi7124
      @designerjoi7124 3 года назад

      Letting it float free will prevent catching it incorrectly in the side seam which will then cause a pucker. But yes, there are times and fabrics where I can stitch it down.

    I’m struggling to understand how to attach the lining to the zipper area.

    Could you use a coverstitch for the hem?

    This pattern isn’t very size inclusive. Do you give advice on fitting it?

    The camera is frequently not positioned on the piece you are working on or demonstrating a technique on. It is a bit frustrating..

      There are certainly lots of options and each video will be slightly different to address all the learning styles that different people enjoy.
