The outlet is for the block warmer or glow plugs
Not to nitpick but glowplugs dont use plugins, its a different system entirely that deals with the battery, and a cummins has a grid heater not glow plugs.

NO 120 power there.... However, he is half-arse right with it being the block heater....
It’s a block heater 😭. To keep the block warm so it starts easily in really cold weather.

4:41 it must have been a northern US truck & got the ADD-ON (the cord) back in the day- all Canadian trucks came with them for obvious reasons OR they added the cord after & the boat battery charger outlet lol... I figure you're just making a meme here. All first gens came with said block heater, just not the cord. HOWEVER, that recepticle cut into the front bumper is straight up a boat battery charger outlet 🤣🤣 WHY someone would do that is beyond me. Some don't like the cord itself regardless if its danglin in the engine bay like a BBC in an orgy or secured somewhere half decent & I guess do this nonsense to a valuable relic regardless if it was a relic at the time or not...
As for the " EMP SHIELD" that is nothing more than an overpriced lightning arrestor/ surge suppressor at best. Wire mesh would do a better job at stopping an EMP. Stopping an EMP... think LOTS of METAL PLATES & LOTS of MESH.. :/ Sad people are getting scammed by these guys still over at EMP SHIELD.
