I know David stated he is not well known as BTS but it should have blown up in Korea. It was his words only and Korean people believe it right away that he had a hungover. He could have been drinking some more alone too, who knows but he hit another car. David got that part wrong where YWS was randomly checked to do a BAC. Maybe because SK down played it in the media. One more thing about the Suga situation. I think he should absolutely continue to do Suchwita. It's not illegal to enjoy drinks with friends and guests. He's not an alcoholic. His offense was operating a vehicle while intoxicated. He can add a disclaimer to his intro or sign off reminding folks to drink responsibly and to make arrangements if they plan to drink or have drank too much. At the end of the show, he could also show himself and his guests getting in the back of the car or in the passenger seat leaving the studio. They could even have the BTS guys or another celebrity pick them up to demonstrate friends stepping in to help their inebriated friend. Or they could use one of those ride-safe services people can choose to get home safely after drinking. They could do free promotions for those services or they could sponsor or subsidize those services for a year or so. There are so many things he could do on that show to raise awareness and promote safety. I'm so tired of the Puritan-minded cancel culture and people basically having to go into hiding for mistakes they've made. He has apologized twice and likely will do so again at least 2 more times. I know it's easier said than done, but the chickens are going to cluck no matter what he does. Might as well get on top of it, lean into it and take control of his situation.

I'm still mad at the police. Yes, it's wrong to operate a vehicle under the influence. I don't think anyone will dispute that. But I believe Suga when he said he didn't know that he couldn't ride the scooter on the sidewalk and that he didn't know that it was illegal to operate it under the influence. I believe that if he had known that, he wouldn't have done it. Who would think that a dinky scooter like that would be held to the same laws as a 4,000lb car? It has to be the lowest grade of electric vehicle connected to your driver's license. But regarding the police, they can use their discretion to determine how to handle situations. In this situation, they had several options and they chose the loudest, most chaotic one. Police give people breaks and warnings all the time. He was at home. They could've given him a warning and told him to go home and not to leave until he was sober, or escorted him home on foot and told him not to leave until he was sober. There were 3 of them, one of them could have escorted him while the others continued to patrol the area. Or, they could have confiscated the scooter and told him to walk home and pick it up from the station in the morning, if it was his scooter. And I think that's what they should've done for anyone, not just because he is BTS. But they took him in knowing the media drama it would cause. That's so shady to me. I bet at least one of them will put this on his resume or part of his campaign if he seeks a promotion.
I find ARMY particularly an obnoxious fandom, but even I think that the allegations brought up against SUGA are ridiculous. If he was just operating an electric scooter that can't go faster than a pedal bicycle, there's no way that it should be considered a valid "vehicle" for a DUI. Electric kickboards (or electric kick scooters, mostly without a saddle) do not require a license here in Northern Europe and we get plenty of run-over cases almost every week. Just two days ago, a middle aged man died when a 17yo kickboarder hit him hard on the pedestrian crossing and fled (showed up at the police station later with his legal guardian). There's a movement for ban on electric kickboards, the government said nothing yet but I think they are going to tighten the traffic rules on these vehicles. Sorry about Suga's hate wave though. Nobody was hurt in the incident, no equipment was broken. Suga isn't a teenager but a smart man in his thirties so... sure not looking forward to repeat the same mistake again, like, ever.

Tea with Suga would be a good concept. He drinks too much. Koreans in general drink too much. It's not great to model that for younger fans really.
