Tom, a few suggestions for the garland on the staircase. Try a thicker garland if you can find it if not take two of the skinny ones and weave them together to make it fuller and then fluff. It will look better. Add 2-inch balls to the garland. I recommend plastic ones if you can find some decent ones that are shiny. I cannot tell you how many I have broken taking the garland up and down over the years. Add some ribbon bows throughout the garland either bought or tied by hand. If making them yourself, I would use two-inch ribbon with a wire rim edge. This will allow to shape the bows easily and help keep their shape.

Ugh! I hate the locking carts! I get it but at the holidays when you have to park in outer Mongolia, the kids are in tow AND you've overfilled it to begin with - just the WORST. I am not a Sherpa 😅. Anyhoo, I solved it by ditching the southwest for Pittsburgh. Totally worth it.
