I heard this BGM 10 years ago (in 2011). This has been haunting me all these years. I forgot which movie it was from.. I always wanted to listen to it but I couldn’t .. I recently watched one of the AR Rahman’s interviews and he mentioned about it. Then I realised it’s from the legendary “Slumdog millionaire” movie.. I can’t believe it’s been haunting me for 10 years now.. I’m in tears . Thank you ARR!
Ar Rahman's music, the story, Freida Pinto's role as Latika and even Dev Patel's role as Jamal were the reasons Slumdog Millionaire is one of the best movies ever.
I think the last scene when Jamal kissed Latika's scar is trying to tell us a lesson. If I am correct, before Jamal's lip touches Latika's face, there was a flashback, and then when the flashback ended, Jamal kissed her. Perhaps it's trying to tell us that Latika's perfect, but then she becomes no longer perfect because of the scar. However, Jamal loved her just the same. WE SHOULD ALL LEARN TO LOVE, LEARN TO ACCEPT SOMEONE WHOSE NO LONGER PERFECT.
