I think the last scene when Jamal kissed Latika's scar is trying to tell us a lesson. If I am correct, before Jamal's lip touches Latika's face, there was a flashback, and then when the flashback ended, Jamal kissed her. Perhaps it's trying to tell us that Latika's perfect, but then she becomes no longer perfect because of the scar. However, Jamal loved her just the same. WE SHOULD ALL LEARN TO LOVE, LEARN TO ACCEPT SOMEONE WHOSE NO LONGER PERFECT.

My favorite movie of all time. Watched it opening weekend. Seriously no other movie moved me as much as this film.
