I used android for years, and I was a bit sceptical about switching to iPhone because of the lack of customisation. But, asf yet switching I realised that I didn’t really need customisation that much. I honestly was kinda at peace with that fact and, the streamlined + clean experience with fluid animations just make it a lot more better than androids even with higher refresh rates.

And that’s exactly it. Android and iOS shouldn’t be compared in the “what is better” kind of way. It is about preference. For instance, I vastly prefer Samsung hardware and their steps in innovation, but iOS is the operating system that suits my needs. It’s not better, nor worse. Sure, android can do a bunch more stuff and I miss some of the OS’s capabilities, but at the end of the day, most of them I wouldn’t use anyway.
I'm surprised you had so many issues with the S8. I bought my Note 8 at launch and am still using it over 4 years later. Best phone I've ever had. Edit: I also have an iPhone X that I carry around in my back pocket. It's also a great phone.
I also tried rly hard to not get fully stuck in into the ecosystem but ultimately 3 Products got me to Apple. An iPhone 12 Mini, an IPad Air that allowed me to study in a whole new level and the AirPods. Those products still work so well for me that I rly don’t want to switch. Life’s good
I was using iPhone for about 2 to 3 years, but since I am all about customisation and treating it like a computer, I ultimately switched to Android in the summer of 2018. Never used iPhone again.
Dude. I have tried using shortcuts. It’s hard for me to utilize. I just can’t seem to figure out how it works. Yeah, I know it me. I’m a little slow with this. I just really want to learn how to use it. It’s often said that shortcuts is really good. I’ll try again to see if I can figure it out.

I have an iPhone 12 as my main phone and a midrange samsung A51. Being an android user for years, I just feel relaxed having an android in standby. I really agree that iPhone apps are really optimized which makes user experience really great, opening apps feel smooth and the camera experience is more convenient than android. Opening the camera on android even on my S10 still give me some lag from time to time.
I had the exact same experience with my Samsung! So I decided to try iPhone and now I’m deep in the Apple Ecosystem and enjoy it. Only thing that sucks is the restrictions with customization and Siri
@@meh1524 Really just the customization. You can’t place icons wherever you want or download apps unless it’s off the App Store. But it has gotten a lot better in the recent years, you could look up some tutorials on how to get custom icons or even how to jailbreak but if you’re not into that then you really get barebones customization

My first smartphone was an iPhone 4 back in 2012 but after that my first Android was a Samsung Galaxy SIII in 2014 and I've been an Android user ever since (and still rock one, a OnePlus Nord N200 5G) but I wanted to try an Amazon Renewed product which I bought an iPhone 7 and other than the battery needing replaced due to 79% battery health, it was a good phone that worked and still have it for when I wanna fiddle around with iOS. My iPhone is my backup phone in case something happens to my OnePlus. No matter what OS, I always go with the budget-midrange phones like 200-400 dollar range whether that's a Samsung Galaxy A series, Google Pixel a, OnePlus Nord, Moto G, or even a secondhand/older iPhone. I like both OSes.

Completely normal.
@@nick.3455 I'm genuinely curious now. How can he be speaking from an iPhone user's perspective without owning one? And that too making it a point for a review
I went from iphone to android, entirely for the better camera at the time. Also, my phone is going on 5 years and did not just stop working every 2 years like every iPhone I had did. Iphone was sued for doing this to phones. I mainly think Apple is such a corrupt and terrible company that forces you to buy only there product for everything. No regrets whatsoever.
I find using apps on iPhones worse than using the same Apps on Android, especially MS Office apps. It's no comparison. File management on iphones are atrocious also, definitely no comparison. The Google apps on iphones are like "light versions" that you would get on an Android. It's also impossible to access an iPhone directly when plugged into a PC. Apple is only compatible with Apple vs Android is universal. If Google made their apps not work with apple, iPhones would be worthless paperweights. Outside of the long software support and stackable widgets, iPhones cannot hold a flame to Android.
I like both but i noticed Android doesn’t age well, never do the phones, maybe its because of the years of software updates even older iPhones get, thats why IOS is better IMO. Oh and the bloat ware over there is annoying. Oh and also you could jailbreak some iPhones too
