well that tank stance doesn't really look like it's meant to do damage as much as soak it. I suppose it also depends which talents you chose too. Plus Arthas can take a lot of damage :)
This is the kind of Hero I've needed in my life. Fairly simple abilities, but insane versatility in talents. Just the kind of strategy I can get behind.
I'm happy to finally see Varian join us, but now I really want to see old iconic Horde veterans such as Cairne and Vol'jin. Then maybe Garrosh or Grom.
Another Tauren (either of the Bloodhooves would be awesome) or a troll would be nice but I want to see more undead, actually. Kel'Thuzad and Morose are the ones immediately coming to mind but a Darion Mograine and Bolvar Fordragon could be nice additions to the nexus as well.

When in truth a successful streamer is one who can pull in 2k a stream. This is something I like to call the "PewDiePie" syndrome, or seeing mega success and assuming that that is the standard. But HotS is nowhere near as popular as other games and, while I like the game, it's really held up by a super dedicated community. Honestly, it kind of paints a picture of what could happen once DOTA 2 and LoL eventually lose their causal popularity.

They can briefly taunt enemy heroes, too, to give hogger more survivability.

I like it when new heroes have so many paths to go for and no apparent weaknesses. It makes it so 1 currently perma banned hero can slip through the cracks as varian takes that spot.
I play warrior in WOW and it took me like 2minutes of trying Varian in try mode on the PTR to get conviced to buy him. Perfect reflection of the warrior class. I can't wait for next week!

I hope this Multi-Class thing being added into the game means Kharazim is due for a rework to get this status as well, but instead of his heroics being the deciding factor, his traits can mix up his class.
well technically speaking Cho and Gall are separate heroes they are just attached to the same body. so not a multi-class hero just two heroes that are forced to play with each other.

He seems exceptionally strong; not counting all the utility he brings to the battlefield and hope that he is balanced at least somewhat before he comes out unlike most of the heroes released. In other words? Perma banned for the next 5 weeks in rank games (is a great example). I still haven't played a single rank game against or with Samuro. I also hope his skills like Q are a skill shot rather than a target to give some more depth and skill required, even for a warrior lol, to play. He already seems top tier for his utility and the ability to choose his role depending on each and every game and, sadly unlike some other heroes, will allow him to be played constantly with each game being different rather than the SAME talents you basically have to pick up to be viable. As a tank/Support player, I'm hyped for Varian! Plus I can always change his playstyle during the match if we get 3 tanks (because QM is QM). I can't wait!

At 10 with the tank ult and the next few levels yes, but apparently his health scales less than that of other tanks, meaning let's say by 20 other tanks have a higher health pool

Sonya is stronger and safer, but Varian counters the whole support class altogether. Also between mystical spear and leap, she is one of the safest heroes in the game especially with her self sustain
really disappointed by the fact that you cant change his specialization mid game. Like you could play him as a Dual Wield specialist, but midgame, you realize your team needs more CC or another tank, so then you could respec at the base a tank. Oh well. He still looks alright though. Im glad his gameplay is different than the other Warriors. I'm excited to see how Grommash will play
Varian was the Greates heroes of the Alliance of all time. This is a cool way to led him leve on forever. He is a really cool hero in the storm and makes him multi Class hero is even more cool !!!

Revan Ordo they said at Blizzcon that they are working on HUGE GIGANTIN reworks a total game rework like "supports" will be dividet into "support" (tass tyrande) and healers (uther malf butterfly) warriors into tank and bruisers and so on and yes khara will be a multi class like tyrande because tyrande has seasoned marksman, seering attack, Nexus frenzy as a support so we will see some major changes in cataloging heroes soon
At blizzcon in a Q and A it was mentioned that they're considering splitting up Assassin, Warrior, Support and Specialist into Assassin/spellcaster, Tank/bruiser, Support/healer and Specialist/seige, or similar, just to help identify hero roles. Varian is unique in that all of his traits revolve around being entirely different classes, so it's unlikely that they'll change other heroes.

I wouldnt count Kharazim as an assassin, to much survivability. Medivh's shield hardly makes him a support. Tass and Tyr are far from the dps needed to be assassins, and again Tyrael is no support.
Medivh was almost a support, thry decided on specialist late though. He does more than Protect: Vision, polymorph/stasis, reveal, heal, Ap buff, invis. And Tyrande posseses some pretty decent DPS, definitely on Assassin level under certain circumstances
Please add more Hero spotlights for more characters (especially the old ones). I've recently started playing the game again. Spurred by the Nexus challenge Genji Oni skin. I think I might make this my MOBA game of choice. I believe the learning curve is lower, and there is a lot more to take in from the DotA 2 culture.
Would have been nice if they set it up as: "The fell blast from Gul'dan actually blasted Varian into the twisting nether, where he wondered for eternity, until he was pulled, into the Nexus. Here, with the spirit's of people he knew and other he did not, he found new purpose, a new fight, and a new hope to live up to.
Sławek Król Everybody keeps forgetting that with kharazim only gained damage/heal. He didn't loose like health. This change makes Varian multiclass. More things can be changed.
Can we reclassify Abathur as a Specialist/Support multiclass? It's the same; through his talents, he can choose to either heal and support his allies, or choose to make the entire map unfavorable to his enemies and turn simple minion waves into powerful pushing forces.

Warrior hype. Best class of all time. Also does the rework for Kharazim mean he'll be classified as Assassin/Support? Because I don't know about y'all, but damage build on PTR was fun and potent.
The multiclass thing is a good idea, but what's going to happen is that people are going to figure out which damage spec is better and just always choose it. (I suspect it will be Col. Smash).
whats the best damage spec will always depend on what you're facing and what your team make up is. Ofcourse, most will always go with the general "most damage build" just like people tend to go AA for certain heroes with a team that has no buffs for it against an enemy team that can build against it.
i'd argue it's still three different roles, tank/bruiser is shining in the meta right now, and twin blades is a good sustain build especially with the health for basic attacks ability. then you are left with a good tank spec, and a good burst dive assassin with the col. smash. All three are going to have there uses
I dont think thats a problem when you actully have to choose between health or damage. There is no all in one spec choice at 10, and prior to that your talents are very focused.
Can we have Vol’jin be like this. Where when you choose a heroic you choose what role you’ll be. I imagine with Vol’jin you could choose being a Support healer, Ranged auto-attack assassin with his bow or ability based assassin(like Guldan or Jaina) using shadow and voodoo magic, maybe? Just a thought.

Twin Blades Varian is stupidly strong. You can basically solo bosses and 1v1 pretty much anyone in the game with him.

He seems exceptionally strong; not counting all the utility he brings to the battlefield and hope that he is balanced at least somewhat before he comes out unlike most of the heroes released. In other words? Perma banned for the next 5 weeks in rank games (is a great example). I still haven't played a single rank game against or with Samuro. I also hope his skills like Q are a skill shot rather than a target to give some more depth and skill required, even for a warrior lol, to play. He already seems top tier for his utility and the ability to choose his role depending on each and every game and, sadly unlike some other heroes, will allow him to be played constantly with each game being different rather than the SAME talents you basically have to pick up to be viable. As a tank/Support player, I'm hyped for Varian!
Plus I can always change his playstyle during the match if we get 3 tanks (because QM is QM). I can't wait!

well varian has the highest base health in the game as of tomorrow so you can try Sonya solo tank
At 10 with the tank ult and the next few levels yes, but apparently his health scales less than that of other tanks, meaning let's say by 20 other tanks have a higher health pool
Eye C U yea i commented wrong sorry about that part but varian is a support tank like tyrael so he cant solo tank but he is much better at tanking than sonya and helps his team alot more.
Sonya is stronger and safer, but Varian counters the whole support class altogether. Also between mystical spear and leap, she is one of the safest heroes in the game especially with her self sustain

really disappointed by the fact that you cant change his specialization mid game. Like you could play him as a Dual Wield specialist, but midgame, you realize your team needs more CC or another tank, so then you could respec at the base a tank.
Oh well. He still looks alright though. Im glad his gameplay is different than the other Warriors. I'm excited to see how Grommash will play

Kharazim a multiclass SUPPORT/ASSASSIN ? Medivh SUPPORT/SPECIALIST ?
Tassadar and Tyrande SUPPORT/ ASSASSIN ? Tyrael a WARRIOR/ SUPPORT ?
Revan Ordo they said at Blizzcon that they are working on HUGE GIGANTIN reworks a total game rework like "supports" will be dividet into "support" (tass tyrande) and healers (uther malf butterfly) warriors into tank and bruisers and so on
and yes khara will be a multi class like tyrande because tyrande has seasoned marksman, seering attack, Nexus frenzy as a support so we will see some major changes in cataloging heroes soon
At blizzcon in a Q and A it was mentioned that they're considering splitting up Assassin, Warrior, Support and Specialist into Assassin/spellcaster, Tank/bruiser, Support/healer and Specialist/seige, or similar, just to help identify hero roles. Varian is unique in that all of his traits revolve around being entirely different classes, so it's unlikely that they'll change other heroes.

Speaking of Multiclass, I really hope that when they Redesign the whole Hero class Roster, they REWORK TASSADAR aswell !
With hopefully enough talent diversity to allow him to do decent dmg like Kharazim or be a Niche Support with AA heroes like he has been forced to be for the last year ( the Hero is very interesting, but always same build is really boring)...Lowering Achon CD to 80-70 seconds to start things, with some little buffs to his dmg )
Also some adjustments to a few Diablo talents that are never picked would be really nice, it would be wise to make people want to play him again since I heard rumors about a D3 skin coming FINALLY >:D !!!
I wouldnt count Kharazim as an assassin, to much survivability. Medivh's shield hardly makes him a support. Tass and Tyr are far from the dps needed to be assassins, and again Tyrael is no support.
Medivh was almost a support, thry decided on specialist late though. He does more than Protect: Vision, polymorph/stasis, reveal, heal, Ap buff, invis. And Tyrande posseses some pretty decent DPS, definitely on Assassin level under certain circumstances

Please add more Hero spotlights for more characters (especially the old ones). I've recently started playing the game again. Spurred by the Nexus challenge Genji Oni skin.
I think I might make this my MOBA game of choice. I believe the learning curve is lower, and there is a lot more to take in from the DotA 2 culture.
They have added so many since I've played this.

Sławek Król Everybody keeps forgetting that with kharazim only gained damage/heal. He didn't loose like health. This change makes Varian multiclass. More things can be changed.

Can we reclassify Abathur as a Specialist/Support multiclass? It's the same; through his talents, he can choose to either heal and support his allies, or choose to make the entire map unfavorable to his enemies and turn simple minion waves into powerful pushing forces.

Why in PTR is level 13 Flag talent had Music depending on the flag you were using is not in the game ?! it was so cool to hear Dalaran , Stormwind and Ironforge music

The multiclass thing is a good idea, but what's going to happen is that people are going to figure out which damage spec is better and just always choose it. (I suspect it will be Col. Smash).

whats the best damage spec will always depend on what you're facing and what your team make up is.
Ofcourse, most will always go with the general "most damage build" just like people tend to go AA for certain heroes with a team that has no buffs for it against an enemy team that can build against it.
i'd argue it's still three different roles, tank/bruiser is shining in the meta right now, and twin blades is a good sustain build especially with the health for basic attacks ability. then you are left with a good tank spec, and a good burst dive assassin with the col. smash. All three are going to have there uses

I dont think thats a problem when you actully have to choose between health or damage. There is no all in one spec choice at 10, and prior to that your talents are very focused.

Can we have Vol’jin be like this. Where when you choose a heroic you choose what role you’ll be. I imagine with Vol’jin you could choose being a Support healer, Ranged auto-attack assassin with his bow or ability based assassin(like Guldan or Jaina) using shadow and voodoo magic, maybe? Just a thought.
I would've wanted his twin blades to be of the same size.
