Now that we have vaccine coming out will you guys post or make video on info about any possible side effects or issues that may come up between the use of theses medications and getting the vaccines that are coming out .. would like to know if they're any interactions or issues between medication and the vaccine ..
But as we are on Humira, we've ben taking all the little percautions that are being trumpted now anyway. :-) At the start of Covid I got the seal yourself in a box letter from HMG. I'd have been insane in a week! So I got as much good info as I could , talked to my Doctor and Consultant, whom I trust, and decided in my case carry on. So far so good. :-)
I can’t get an honest answer out of anyone on what to expect for costs. I’m in BC. I heard there’s a grant you can get - but then someone else told me that’s only at the beginning then you’re on the hook for the full amount and that it’s crazy expensive. Can a Canadian taking Humira please shed a bit of light on this? Thx.
Try calling Humira or whatever biologic you are on. They actually contacted me when I was place on an injection, to make me aware that they would send me a creditcard that would pay for the extra cost that my insurance did not pay. Two different companys actually made this call to me as I have had to switch medications multiple times. The two I know of here in the US that did offer these credit cards were Humira and Embrel mini. Is all I had to end up paying was $5.00 monthly. These credit cards have the name of the medication on the card and can only be used for that medication. That was such a stress reliever and true Blessing for me! As I know there was no way I could have made my co-pay!! Both of these medications are very expensive!! I hope you find the info you are searching for.
23 yo male. Worried about starting treatment(again) because of this virus. I don’t know how much of it is real and how much is politics all I know is I went from mild to severe psoriasis real quick. It hurts to move honestly. I’m going back on humira I don’t care about the side effects, being 23 and cancelling plans because your arms and torso are scaly and painful isn’t what I want to do. That’s the worst part, my friends think I’m avoiding them but I look like infectious and shit. Just worried about getting sick while on treatment
@@buckroerob6777 good luck my friend! I hope to ease your mind and say that other than a minor fever and cough for 2 days it has been an easy process. You should start showing signs of improvement in like 3 to 4 weeks but it will be small improvement at that point. After the third injection you should begin to notice massive improvements. Proud of you for taking the step and keep me posted on your process if you’d like. You got this, look forward to clearer skin and more self confidence. Good luck, buddy
Enbrel is also an anti-tnf oppressor as Humira and Hulio and as I understood, it is safe to continue to take the medication as long as your child doesnt have symptoms of the corona virus. Then you should wait at least 2 weeks before your next injections. But you are right in questioning how it does work out on a three year old child. I read somewhere that adalimumab can protect the lung cells from severe inflammation of covid19 infected patients ist that true?
I dunno if this means anything but I’ve been on Humira for psoriasis once a week since 2020 and I stopped using it for 3 weeks and I now have covid for the first time as we speak :/ coincidence? 🤷🏻♂️
I don’t know if you still need an answer, but from what I was understanding (as a nursing student and on Humira myself) is that being on one of those anti-TNF medications, like Humira, doesn’t protect you from COVID itself. What I believe they are saying is that yes you will be immunosuppressed, but if you happen to get COVID while on treatment you are not more likely to have the terrible symptoms of COVID (ex: being on a ventilator). Basically just because you are on this medication doesn’t mean that if you get COVID that you’ll immediately be hospitalized according to the studies they are looking at.

It's now 3 years later. Have you changed your opinions, any new thoughts?
I’m on Humira for uveitis and GIA… Basically, I am more at risk of catching it but, if I do get corona I’m less likely to have severe effects?
