Thank you for this helps me understand what to be prepared for. I have a job interview tomorrow in fresno ca for DSP driver. I worked for Amazon in 2020/21 but had to quit after losing my dad and mother with in a few weeks apart . I had to take time to gather my self . I took a temp job lately and it’s just not busy enough for me I loved working for Amazon

At the few DSPs I interviewed it mostly went:
When are you available?
Can you lift 30-50lbs?
Are you comfortable driving vans?
Training starts in 3 days.
I live in the Bay Area. I finished training for a recent DSP but had to leave cause they were getting limited on shifts. Left and the next day got another immediate interview. Best hiring and quitting process ever man.

@@mustafakareem9152 Yeah, once background and drug test pass you get your training date.
I went to 2 interviesws in one day. The first one had about 20 people and they gave so good information. I did not like that even if you already have a DOT certification the starting pay was still the same for everyone. . I did like that their start time was early. The second one pays more for DOT certification, in an area I know, and contacted me first to offer a job.

It’s funny but my dsp never interviewed me lol they messaged me on indeed and asked me if I was interested, I said yes and they sent me my drug test email and told me to bring my ssc & ID on orientation date

The do not interview for DSP positions. You show up, answer 8 questions on paper then provide your driver’s license. If all your information is good you’re scheduled for a drug test , then training. End of story.

Literally 😂😂😂 they don’t even bother with your resume. I sound like a broken record but so many DSP’s being operated so bad…if you get lucky and find a good DSP stick with it
Just got a job at one have a drug test today. All I had to do was a background check & have to bring my license today also. Then I have the job starting the 9th 😂
This is true. I'm starting next monday. I've been working in a corporate settings for 20 years. I was surprised with the Amazon DSP "interview". There was no intensive interview, not even about 401k, PTO, Benefits LOL
Are they testing for weed lol? I have a medical card but also got a interview next week. I dont smoke and drive or anything like that
So yeah... just want to let everyone know that no DSP interview is remotely close to this. If you arrived at the interview, your basically hired and the real evaluation is in your nursery routes.

This how I was hired. Like 15 people showed up to the same interview and we were all instantly hired. And they said they hire that many ppl almost every day
What's a nursery route?
@@PapiliodaniBasically a route with less than 100 stops and less than 180 packages that need to be delivered. That and stops are generally closer to each other.

I never heard of having to start as a driver. That’s his companies way a getting the most with the least out of his employees. And the brother looks completely stoned. So if your driving for two years he said move on so she definitely won’t get dispatch

If you fail the online course for DOT driver. I didn't fail the box truck course online I felt the foundation test online will they let me take it over or do I have to consider just to be a helper
They should let you retake it
I went to the interview and did the whole process, drug test, background check, they made me create a new email and stuff. But I don't think they told me my start day immediately after doing everything although at the beginning before starting the whole process they sent me a document that said “we would like you to start working no later than January 22nd”. Is that the date I have to start? I'm confused about that

If I get hired I’m going to speed I’m going to put the package on the opposite door that they want and I will not put up with customer attitude I’ll push back and if I get fired I’ll go right to the unemployment office

Packages in your front seat .. separate them by number groups 50s one area 60s in another ext. don’t forget to strap your seat belt in the passenger side because they will bitch lol .. they’ll think there’s someone helping you in ur seat .. 😂 and leave ur boxes in the back hub best way I organize loool good luck hun 🍀🙈

This is a very thorough way of an explanation for details of the job. I work for a DSP in Connecticut in Fairfield County(Big houses high potential for property damage/liability in new canaan and greenwhich). This job is all about the algorithm. Routing and map navigating is the first thing that should be shown in an interview. Thats more the real deal of the job than anything else.

When getting hired does Amazon get my information from background or does the company I work for? I’m thinking of doing this but I worked for Amazon before & quit. I moved out of state to take care of my sick aunt. So it wasn’t on good terms. I was hoping only the 3rd party company got my information & Amazon just knows my name for orientation 😂 any information would be helpful
It’s both but your working for the third party so you will be fine
The interview I went to didn't even seem real. literally under 60 second I was done and never heard from them. it was a very weird experienced.

I went to a dsp job interview in my area they didn’t ask me a single question. Just make me create a new email and download they app and signup, upload photo, driver’s license, and background check, my background check comes in the next day. No drug test or resume, Am still waiting.

So im pretty sure im hired but not 100 percent. Signed up for a new flex account like they asked and then did the background check license pic etc. so all that passed including my background check. Now the app is telling me to take a drug test which is fine but do they email that to me or what? My background check passed yesterday and haven't heard anything yet which is driving me crazy
They will email it make sure you follow up with your DSP

This interview is a complete waste of time. You need a package delivery driver nothing more. No amount of interview time will improve your turn over rate. Also that female looked completely uninterested in the job 😂😂😂
