There isn’t a recruiting advantage for Florida schools to keep Florida born players anymore. You can just show them the same $ and an actual recent team record that shows kids that they will have a better chance to win on the big stages, and be a part of a team that actually does know how to compete at that level. Florida has none of that. All they have is the “you can be close to home & get paid the same money, that way all your friends and family have an easier time getting in touch with you about borrowing money for that killer business plan they wrote out on a Waffle House napkin while drunk the other day… yea, not much of a recruiting edge anymore for trying to keep a lot of the in state kids, in state.

Miami - USF Miami has the "Cam Ward Experience" , as long as he is playing and his O-Line is protecting he is going to not only score points but he is the leader of the pack. Ward is playing for next level and is taking his business very serious this season. Miami's defense is also very tuned in to making plays and the defensive front is allowing linebackers and secondary to make plays and wait for opportunities to get take aways.

What did it for me was going back and watching the Texas-Mich game and seeing there were some good signs on that OL and maybe Texas will do that to every team this year. In response to the rumors, he has posted he is constructing a mansion. With that said, there are two things that could make Kiffin leave. If Congress and the NCAA get together and change the rules on NIL and the transfer portal, and Lane determines he can’t win at Ole Miss with the new rules or he won’t have as good of a chance, he might go to Florida to take advantage of their resources. But right now, I’m not buying the rumors. I’ll buy that there are people involved with Florida that want him there. But there are more expectations there with a more difficult culture. If Ole Miss loses two games this year, they’re likely still going to the playoff. Why go to Florida if you can make the playoffs at Ole Miss?

What did it for me was going back and watching the Texas-Mich game and seeing there were some good signs on that OL and maybe Texas will do that to every team this year.

With that said, there are two things that could make Kiffin leave. If Congress and the NCAA get together and change the rules on NIL and the transfer portal, and Lane determines he can’t win at Ole Miss with the new rules or he won’t have as good of a chance, he might go to Florida to take advantage of their resources.
But right now, I’m not buying the rumors. I’ll buy that there are people involved with Florida that want him there. But there are more expectations there with a more difficult culture. If Ole Miss loses two games this year, they’re likely still going to the playoff. Why go to Florida if you can make the playoffs at Ole Miss?

That's the same reason Texas would always get preseason votes the past 15 years, because they if they put it together the right way it can be one of the best rosters, it's just they didn't. A school like Indiana or Washington State as another example have great teams too but they don't have as much talent and lack in the depth department compared to these larger schools. You can say it's because of Brand but it just so happens brand goes hand in hand with talent
