Ball was also physically harder. So for me, Diego is the best, and Messi is right after him.

Hope that their lives could be better than what they had to endure in their childhoods, hope of being the best in what you love (a football player in this case), hope of achieving their dreams, like Drogba and many other african kids had because of Diego, or kids in other parts of the world.

No matter the talent around him, at his peak, the best team in the world was him and ten unknown professionals. Go ahead and ask Naples ' what hope? '. Nobody even remembers who he played with in Naples. And off the field, many mistakes, but always authentic. He admitted more mistakes than many ordinary mortals. Di Stéfano & Cruyff may have something to say about that. Both where equally as good a playmaker as Maradona & covered the defensive areas to instigate playmaking from, better than Maradona. They where " total footballers ". Maradona though, in the attacking side of playmaking. Stands toe to toe, with any great player.

He used rabona passes to stay on his left foot, as he didn't have world class accuracy with his right foot, the way, Pelé, Di Stéfano, Charlton, Best, Cruyff, had world class accuracy with both feet ( ambidextrous ). Maradona was smart & like great magician's, used a flashy move to cover up a deficiency, that the undiscerning eye, wouldn't notice, as they'd be taken in, by a flashy rabona.

Due to the spectacular nature of the skill. People would be taken in by the ball wizardry & not notice Maradona had skillfully covered up a deficiency. That's how great magicians operate. The players i mentioned could hit cross's with both feet on either side of the flanks.
@@johnpacino007 It's partially true what you say. But still rabona is a very difficult move to make with accuracy from a technical point of view. Because of the innatural position of the body, you can't give enough force, direction and precision to the ball.

Es verdad, su pie zurdo era mágico. Les cuento una anécdota que yo mismo vi cuando Maradona jugó un partido de exhibición en el Estadio Nacional de Lima en el 2006. Antes que empiece el partido, Diego trotó -a modo de vuelta olímpica- saludando al público y regalando pelotas. Cuando llegó a Oriente, donde yo estaba, Diego vio a un fanático ubicado en las graderías altas, como a 60 metros de donde él estaba, y le dijo "¡ahí va!". La lanzó con tal precisión que llegó directo a sus manos. El afortunado hincha no tuvo que moverse ni un milímetro de su lugar. ¡Fue increíble!
Que grande el Diego, hay un vídeo en Nápoli donde Diego le revolea en botín a un fanatico no fue tan alucinante porque no lo hizo con la zurda impecable que tenía .’ En ese momento usó la mano de dios lol 😂😎

Esas eran las cosas del Diego, en Bogotá en las eliminatorias para el 86 la gente de la tribuna popular le empezó a tirar naranjas,el Diego las recibía con su zurda mágica y empezó a hacer jueguito con ellas y las devolvía a la tribuna, la gente empezó a reír y a aplaudir .

La lectura de juego estaba en otro nivel , no hacia un solo movimiento de más y todo tenía un proposito, ..en medio de un caos de jugadores dónde cualquiera se sacaría la pelota y la responsabilidad de encima, él no solo resolvía bien, sino que lo hacía con un pase cuya presicion milimétrica daba muestras de que en su mente venía observando la situación y tenía todo bajo control.. eso no es entrenable a ese nivel, simplemente era un don..

Dieguito Querido, es impresionante a dia de hoy la Vision de Juego que tenia, todos en el futbol esperamos un pase al hueco entre 2 o 3 defensores antes de que el delantero este en el fuera de juego. Pero Diego ve augeros negros a grandes distancias con 2 tipos encima y mucho antes de que el delantero este en posicion ofensiva. Es increible. Sigo pensando que Diego en las defensas actuales veria huecos que ningun otro jugador puede ver. Su vision del Juego es muy superior a la de Messi y a la de cualquier jugador top de nivel mundial actual ...
