Thanks for putting together this great review, genuinely love hearing customers opinions on our gear, it helps us make changes and improvements. Think you have hit the nail on the head with the quality and longevity of the roof top tent, it is what we aim to do with our gear. The sacrifice for that is weight and cost. To give you a couple of updates 1) There have been a couple of door revisions and while there are still 3 doors the configuration is a bit different making it easier to open and close the doors. 2) The ladder is about to have an upgrade ;) you may find a bit of compressed air or a dry lubricant of some description will help with the sand. 3) For those not in WA the retail price is $5850 Thanks again for your feedback!
Summed up well mate , I love my Alpha tent, so quick to set up and pack down and all bedding stays in there, quality bit of gear. Paying more for good gear ( after you’ve done your homework) gives you hassle free use for many years
Thanks for the pro & cons , consumers have a better choice of purchasing this product 👍 Thanks for taking the time to do the work 😀 so we have a better idea on the roof tent ⛺️ 😊 Greetings and cheers 🍻 mate from south africa 🇿🇦
Over priced, overweight, restricted when bad weather and can keep going on the negatives, but as we all know it is up to individuals to make up their own mind and camp the way they suits them.
I have one and I love it, I had a pop top troopy camper before it , loved that to but the alpha tent is better, handles wet windy conditions no worries, quicker and easier than a basic swag to set up , heaps more storage space than a swag, 75mm standard mattress with 50mm topper mattress and doona stays in tent. Comfy as , quality costs a bit more but it’s worth it, I had the 270XT awning first and that convinced me to get the tent. Brilliant gear

How high is the awning up off the ground
How is the rain awning in high winds?
definitely works well in soft to medium winds, but i have had to take it down for high/extreme winds before
With the light why don’t you just add an inline switch in the wiring to light. ?
When turning a troopy into a long-term quality tourer, I would rather invest in a rooftop conversion.
I can't believe people pay ridiculous $$$ for a bloody bed, my rtt cost me $430, doesn't leak, lov it
What rtt are you running
@dylancarter1531 doesn't have a name anywhere on it, has darche colours, orange and gray, soft top rtt
I could say same thing about swags.

Absolutely 💯, probably weighs $100 kg

I'm curious of a better made RTT that is cheaper and lighter?
I haven’t forgotten Josh… 🏖️👧👆💦
